Alecia was wonderful. I have a very small craftsman style bathroom that needed something different, and my idea was to paint a Park like scene , and then tone down the intensity so the feeling was of softness. She worked with my idea, added to it , and I was very pleased with the result. She even .came back before the final coat and made some slight changes. She is creative and listens to what you are trying to achieve. She was prompt, stayed on schedule, and cleaned up after the job. I would highly recommend her. My only caution, and this was probably my fault, is the final bill came to almost double what she quoted. In the future, I would be more diligent. This is the only reason my experience was not excellent..However, I did decide the result was wortht the cost. I will use her again..and hope you give her a try also. you wont be sorry.
Description of Work: Alecia created a mural on the upper 1/2 of my small bathroom, and painted the bottom half

My projects with Alicia have always gone extremely well. She is a delight to work with. She has an excellent design sense and so has been very helpful in enabling me to work thru vaguely defined projects. While she is loath to impose her own design preference, she subtly manages to move a client towards an intelligent outcome.
Description of Work: I asked Alicia to paint a cement wall so that it looked as if it was brick covered with vegetation, in front of which I planned to locate a Japanese-style bamboo fence. She provided 2 concepts in water colors. We discussed them. I chose one. She told me what stucco paints to buy, and in less than one day she completed the project and it looks great. There's only one problem, and Alicia had warned me of it. The painting is so convincing that most people who see it naturally assume it's a brick wall and fail to appreciate it until I point it out. A year later I asked Alicia to paint a Yangtze River style mural on another outside wall. We considered several concepts and color schemes before settling on the final design. Alicia's approach in dealing with detail was both creative and interactive. She chalked in features like a water bird, a bridge, an owl, a pagoda, etc. The ones I rejected she simply erased. The others were incorporated into the final mural (see photos if I succeed in getting them to attach). The result looks great and tremendously enhances the effect of the paintings in the foreground. And it certainly beats a dull concrete wall. Many passers-by comment on the mural and ask who did the painting.

Alicia is a pro and an artist without the temperament. She'll give advise when asked but doesn't push her view. She works efficiently with care and cleans carefully when she's finished. When planning the two bathrooms, she first offers her extensive "Idea Book" and then carefully discusses what the client has in mind. She's learned from experience not to second guess or work from vague impressions. When my ideas weren't fully formed, she worked with me until I was able to express my vision and then she made the vision come to life. On one project involving straight forward wall painting, she comfortably worked with me and friend to get the work done at a much lower cost to me! She's painted murals and done special wall treatments for two other friends, and we are all in her fan club! BTW, Alicia is careful with her time and yours. When she says she'll be there she is.
Description of Work: Alicia has done two types of painting jobs for me: straight wall painting and wall treatments (decorative & murals), 5 projects in all. Under the latter, she painted one bathroom like an ancient cave in France with pictographs of horses, a bison and bear. It was so remarkable that the manufacturer of the cabinet in the room came to photograph it. My guests refer to that bath as "The Cave." The upstairs bath is painted as a jungle with my dog, his dog buddy and 2 of my cats as jungle dwellers. Above my bed are sublime clouds with day-glo painted moon & stars coming out at night. In two other places, she scummbled two walls to make the spaces warm & inviting.
