Preferred Painters

He provided a detailed bid to paint that explicitly said he would apply one coat of paint.  I had to leave the property while he was still painting.  While I was gone, he said he applied a second coat of paint and demanded payment for both coats.  When I asked why he didn't call my cell to get approval for the 2nd coat, he said he didn't' want to bother me.  He then demanded payment before he would walk out the door.  I told him that I never authorized the 2nd coat, but I was happy to pay for what his bid described.  He told me that a man pays his bills.  When I tried to speak, he yelled over me.  I will say that the job he did was good.  there were a couple of issue spots, but he came back and fixed them.  As far as the work that was performed, I would hire him again.  However, he jacked the price by 40% without my approval, insulted me and yelled at me.  He'll never step foot in here again.
