Michael and his crew were responsive and available for my many questions. Good communication about details throughout the project phase. I was provided direct links to various products so I could make informed choices. Everything went as planned and the quality is top notch. I would strongly encourage anyone who is doing hardwoods to work with Madison hardwoods

Estimate was provided promptly. Crews were efficient, professional, and arrived when promised. New floor was nicely toothed into existing hall. Finished floor is beautiful.

Order lingered a long time, but it was because existing stain had to be matched and the weather was damp.

Overall I am satisfied with the service.

Michael arrived quickly after contacting him to do an estimate to refinish our hickory floors. He explained the different finishes and drying times, pros and cons so that we could make informed decisions. We chose the oil based finish to darken the wood a bit. The work was scheduled about 3 weeks out as they were very busy. We were not the easiest to schedule with as we had a glitch with another contractor's schedule. Michael was very patient and worked with us to get the job done. The day of the work, the crew arrived promptly and taped off areas to keep dust out. The work took 3 days, including the sanding. We are delighted with the finished results. The floor is a deeper amber and looks beautiful. The crew did a great job and even got out some water damage stains in the mudroom. I can't see any dust around the house from the experience. We were warned about the strong smell of the oil based finish, but it does dissipate. The company was a pleasure to work with and responded to every question promptly. We couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend Madison Hardwood Floors.

One floor was in pretty bad condition. Now it looks almost new.

Michael and his team exceeded our expectations. They were polite, professional, timely, and knowledgeable. Our hardwood floors (white oak) haven't been touched in 90 years, and when it was all said and done, the floors looked immaculate. Can't say enough about Michael and his team. Well. I was out of town, but had the room ready and all went smoothly. Odor was significant, but that was expected.

Everything went very well. Michael deserves an A+ for responsiveness--he was very prompt replying to any inquiry we emailed him, and he answered all of our questions completely. He sent us a thorough informational guide along with the bid that explained the finer points of floor refinishing. He gave us advice about what finish to use, but never pushed us to have any particular service done. His crew did a great job--the floors look wonderful, and were done within his stated schedule. We would recommend to others and use Madison Hardwood Floors again in the future if needed.

Went well, though needing to fully clear all rooms is a bit of a pain and expensive. Workers were very professional and punctual. Job completed on days promised. Floors look great. New wood blended in quite well. Carpenter recommended to add trim, since floor lower w/o carpet and pad, did an excellent job on installation and stain-matching. We used water-based and had no problems with the minor odors (and I am a person who is highly sensitive to perfumes, pollens, etc). We did NOT need to stay in a hotel (we did not refinish two bedrooms whose floors were in good shape).

Madison Hardwood Floors did a great job sanding down our 80 year old hardwood floors and made them look fantastic. Our rough floors took a couple days of sanding, but when they were finished they looked amazing. Transformed the house. They were punctual and worked as quickly as the job allowed. Would work with again.

Michael came to our home to give us an estimate and of the many companies we called he was the only one who actually took a few minutes to explain the process and answer our questions - cheerfully!
On start day, the crew showed up as expected, explained details, were responsive to phone calls during the process and when the work was completed, the house was move-in ready. Though I took the time to spring clean, there wasn't any dust around to clean.
Our experience with Madison Hardwood Floors was excellent! Hopefully we will not have to go through this very disruptive process again during our lifetime :), but if we do they'll be our first call and we will definitely recommend this company to everyone.

I have had many experiences with contractors and carpenters this year, and this was by far the most professional and rewarding experiencing to date! I am so glad that I found Madison Hardwood Flooring -- my reclaimed floors look marvelous! I was very impressed with Michael's suggestions when he did my estimate -- he suggested refinishing the old floor in room-3 instead of laying a new floor. I can't believe the richness of that old floor and the gorgeous color! It is my favorite floor in the house!! In the other two rooms his team put down the reclaimed maple flooring I got off Craig's List from a home built in the 1950's. The floor is smooth as glass, tight and has a beautiful patina. My carpenter could not believe how nice the floor looked and was amazed that it was actually reclaimed maple.

It was very clear that Michael loves his job, and is very knowledgable. I felt comfortable following his suggestions from the start. He and his team arrived right on time every day, and finished the job in 3.5 days, exactly on schedule. I had no clean up to do myself, they taped off my rooms and cleaned up each night. I highly recommend Madison Hardwood Flooring.

We were lucky that our new-old house had hardwood stairs under some quite old carpet, and Michael and his team did a great job on our stairs, revitalizing them and transforming them into a beautiful and quot;newand quot; staircase. Michael explained each step, showed us different stain options and clearly cared a lot about the quality of his work.
