We contacted Mike during our search for homeowners insurance for our first home purchase, so we were trying to learn a lot and do some research on our own. We got quotes from a variety of companies as well as Mike as an independent agent.  Mike is incredibly responsive and patient with me as I went through my little research project on home insurance - I will admit I spent way too much time looking into this but ultimately I felt educated about the options and comfortable with the decision. Mike currently represents Erie insurance which is less known than other national brands, but performs quite well in industry reviews (see the JD Power home and auto insurance reviews, as well as Consumer Reports).  Although we got competitive rates from one of the highest-ranking companies on there, we felt that getting the Ultracover policy (HO-5 equivalent) from Erie, as well as having an agent to help represent us, was the best value for us.

Mike was very responsive to my initial inquiries for quotes and was willing to meet just about any time or place to go over our family's options for insurance coverage.  He presented and compared several options to us that differed in slightly different ways and allowed plenty of opportunity to ask questions to ensure our comfort level with our decision.  Once the company screening process was over, Mike was johnny-on-the-spot with his laptop and printer to get everything inputted and prepared for our signature.We had one more follow-up meeting due to the nature of our home purchase being new construction but again we were offered maximum flexibility to finish the process.  The rates presented were very competitive and I have absolute peace of mind having met Mike that he'll be there when we need him as opposed to a random call center operator located in who-knows-where.  Mike is a great example of how independent insurance agents, when they do their jobs right, are an invaluable and irreplaceable resource for anyone looking to protect themselves, their family, and their property from whatever may come their way.

It was a pleasure working with him. It was convenient for me that he came to my office to discuss my matter and set up the policy. It is reassuring to know that if a claim arises, he will be there to assist me.

The process was easy, he brought his computer and printer to our house and it was all done in one step.

I had refinanced my vehicle and knew I had to change this on my insurance and get that information to my bank I emailed Mike that night I got home from the bank and within minutes Mike emailed back that it was on it's way to the company. I received the information in the mail with the new bank and a few weeks later the bank contacted me as they didn't have the information. Again I contacted Mike and in minutes he sent me another copy of the paperwork and I was able to avoid the bank giving me insurance I didn't need. Mike is always answering his phone or email no matter what time or day of even on a weekend. My wife and I can't say enough about the service Mike has given since we moved to his agency.

Mike did and continues to do outstanding work. He was able to find us better homeowners insurance coverage for less than I was finding in my initial foray into the online quote world. For auto, we had been covered by the same company for years and Mike was able to find us additional discounts with that company that we never knew of. I very much appreciate the buyer's-best-interests mindset. Mike is available seemingly at all hours for questions by phone or text and is extremely flexible when it come to meeting locations. If you can't make it to him, he'll come to you. If you are considering an independent agent, look no further.

I discovered last minute that the home owners insurance I tried to set up with another insurance provider online was not so simple.  I was buying a foreclosed home that had some repair issues which made it tough to find an insurance company that would offer me a fair policy or in some cases any policy at all.  I called Mike at the absolute last minute and he went more than out of his way to accommodate me.  Not only did he find me a great insurance plan for my situation the same day I called, but he went out of his way to meet me and see the home that same day as well- which happened to be a friday night.  I felt it shouldn't be Mikes problem that I was setting up my insurance policy at the last minute and told him we could just wait and meet on Monday to set up the policy then, but Mike was not going to leave me uninsured for the weekend. He put his friday evening plans aside to meet with me and get my insurance started so that I would not have to go the weekend without it.  My home was at least an hour drive for him, and embarasing as it is, I had car problems and was over an hour late meeting him there.  Mike waited patiently for me, when I finally arrived we went over the paper work and set up the policy. I am so grateful for the way that Mike went above and beyond to get my home insured, and again as embarrassing as it is to admit- for the gracious way he put up with my untimeliness.

This is a renewal of the insurance I bought last year. I didn't realize it was already a year since I initially bought the insurance. Mike sent me an email message about 2 weeks ahead reminding me about the renewal and told me the price would be the same as last year.

I met Mike a few days later and cut a check for the renewal. Mike sent me my insurance policy after a few days. He also prepared insurance certificates for my clients so I don't need to worry.

In summary, I am very glad of Mike's insurance service.

Besides saving us alot of $$ we just felt Mike was there to really help & look out for us. He suggested alot of things & explained the pros & cons of each situation. I know if I ever have questions I can call Mike any time of day & expect him to answer or call right back. Great service!! I highly reccomend him.

He professionally and nicely helped us get set up with services.  Mike came to our house and filled out the paperwork with my husband and i while getting to know each other. He got us a good deal on renters insurance and made some suggestions as to how we could save money in other areas, such as auto insurance. He also helped us connect with someone out of state that would supply dwelling insurance we needed on our home in another state. He talked with the person himself before giving us the business information to make sure he was satisfied with the quality of that company. He later followed up with a quote that saved us 50% on auto insurance while still keeping the integrity of the policy. We both felt very comfortable and pleased with Mike both professionally and personally. We would recommend him for any insurance needs.

Mike explained the importance of life insurance so we decided to see how much it would cost.  He made the process easy and didn't inundate us with too much information.  We were able to make decisions easily.  We also switched car and homeowners with Mike.  He saved us almost $600 per year. 

I found Mike on AL and was immediately impressed.  He is very prompt, courteous, and good at what he does. We needed Auto and Liability insurance for our business, he found Auto insurance quickly and at a great rate.  For the Liability he found us a decent rate right away but continued to look for us.  In the end he found another policy and saved us over $600 (more than 50% off original rate).  I will be recommending his services to anyone with insurance needs without hesitation.

We found Mr. Larson on AL and requested a home insurance quote since we are buying a new home.  We are typically very demanding customers who shop around extensively.  Mr. Larson did not push as we took our time shopping around.  He was very prompt in giving us information when requested no matter the time.  

His home quote through Erie was very favorable but the auto quote was not as competitive as some of the national insurance brands.  Overall however the combined policy was the lowest price of the quotes we have received and we have heard that Erie is actually a higher quality service than most of the national brands.  Mr. Larson represents many insurance brands so the above comments may only be representative for combined policies (for instance he mentioned that he represents Progressive as well so I guess he could get a more favorable auto only quote).

We did not have to travel to his office.  He came to our house at 7pm since that was the only time available.  Quite convenient.

Mike made an appointment at our home that was convenient for my husband. He gave us options for Liability insurance that he represents. His price was very good compared to other companies we had checked with. He offered a lot more coverage for less money. We enjoyed meeting with and doing business with Mike. I have recommended him to my friends.

Glad I decided to give Mike a call when I was shopping for home insurance!!

Mike Larson is available for times that work for my schedule as opposed to times and may work for him. 

He was quick to provide the numbers, and ended up being a few hundred dollars a year less. It made the decision to use him very easy! I will continue to use him in the future!
