Appliance Sale, Appliance Repair
Sales experience and delivery was excellent. Unit was installed by an independent contractor recommended by the sales agent. He was two hours late but seemed to do a professional, appropriate installation. Two hours after he left, the dishwasher was still running. The only way it could be turned off was to interrupt the circuit breaker. My phone call to Kennedy-Hahn elicited no assistance and only a stern warning: if a K-H repairman comes and there was a faulty installation, services will not be covered under warranty. Asko stated that the drainage pipe was probably installed incorrectly. The installer returned and made adjustments, yet the problem continued. Despite repeated calls, K-H finally sent a repairman 5 days later. After spending nearly $1000 on a new dishwasher, I was left to wash dishes by hand for 5 days, while trying to sell my house and keep it ready at all times for showings. A letter to the president of the company has gone unanswered so far for 5 weeks.
