Principal of company, Scott Meitis of Madison, WI, brought-in 2 sub-conractors who spent 2 months gutting, rebuilding and finishing the entire bathroom.  I paid in 3 installments...beginning, middle and end.  Their work was very good.  Within 2 weeks after the construction, we noticed a crack in the new toilet.  I called IPG's owner and told him we needed it replaced.  He NEVER replaced it.  We had to incur additional costs for a new one and the additional cost of its installation.  MONTHS later, we still had NO response from IPG's owner.  Imagine our shock when the sub-contractors called to say they were placing a "Mechanic's Lien" against our home because Scott Meitis never paid them for their work and in fact, stopped payment on their check.  This is the reason, contractors have such an awful reputation.  People like this need to be identified and  never allowed in our homes.  He turned what could have been a positive experience into a nightmare and a legally-liable position for the homeowners.  NEVER AGAIN!!!  P.S. And to add insult to injury Mr. Meitis has even approached me in public to ask me why I am so upset.  He KNOWS what he did and he just continues to deny his  unconscionable actions.  And I have come to learn that he has similarly treated other homeowners who had I had referred to him prior to our remodel...UNBELIEVABLE!  Avoid this character, he took money away from the sub-conractors who had/have children to feed.  I am still reeling from his dishonesty!
