I needed a part to repair our kitchen faucet, and the usual hardware or big box stores had little besides washers and cartridges. I walked into Howe Brothers, showed him the part, and he had it on the counter in a flash. Amazing.

I am a do-it-yourselfer with three family older homes in town that I keep fixed up. For the past 20 years I have often gone to the guy at Howe Plumbing with the difficult stuff. Like the shower curtain rod suspended from the ceiling and modern shower and drain accessories to fit an antique claw-foot tub. He has the stuff in stock and explains the tricky installation snags to watch out for. When the office opens next Tuesday, I'll be phoning to get the lowdown on replacement anodes for hot water heaters.

Could a plumbing supply store be any more helpful, honest and informative? We've gone in many times, and our latest experience was a typical one; we went in with the broken part of your toilet, the nice person behind the counter guessed exactly what was wrong, and gave us a part that was better than the original, and showed us how to modify it so we didn't have to purchase a whole new kit. Walked out without spending more than $13.

Also got some good advise on how to move forward with the replacement of a toilet in the near future, and he got us thinking about issues regarding the replacement of a tub faucet.

I bought some supplies from them. They were very knowledgeable. They are geared towards people who do the work themselves. They have all the parts you would need.

Brought in an old faucet from a clawfoot tub that dripped even after replacing the washers. They recognized the fixture as good quality and suggested they could fix it. They had a machine to grind the seats and provided some packing materials and good advice. They were able to repair the faucet the same afternoon I brought it in and I picked it up right before close. Worked like a charm!

Great tips and advice and all around excellent service. Only downside is they are good and there can be a line to get help. The price of success I guess.

Regan is an amazing resource and an extremely patient person. You can walk in off the street with an old faucet part and he will know just by looking at it what kind of faucet it is and will have the part in stock. If he doesn't have the part or can t get it no one can. Then he will tell you step by step how to fix it and what to watch out for. He is a master plumber so has the experience necessary to tell you the right way to repair or replace broken plumbing. What is even more valuable he knows what plumbing fixtures are worth buying and will last and which ones are not. He even takes the time to explain how everything works and will try to find out what works best for you.

Extremely knowledgeable, fantastic do-it-yourself plumbing shop. They tell you exactly what to do and which parts you need.
