At the purchase of a house, my Realtor recommended this person. They were not only professionally linked, but I believe they were personal friends. He claimed to be an engineer, but I doubt if that's true. The water softner was not routed to the hot water heater, thereby negating the point of having a softner, partly (part of the reason for the softner was so the hard water deposits (well water) didn't accumulate on faucets, washer, dishwasher, etc.). When they left, they didn't have a small plug in the faucet for the reverse osmosis system. It made a funny sound for days and took a while to figure out why. Also, he did not leave any manuals or information on the (brand new) r/o system. I didn't know what type of filters it needed or when it needed service. After I confronted them (It took me a few months to realize that he didn't connect the soft water to the water heater), they wanted another $600 to change the connections including $120 in parts (the parts were about $10).
