Steve got back to me right away, although I had to wait a few weeks for his schedule to clear up before he could come and do the work.  I'm glad I waited.  I felt comfortable with him right away because he explained things in terms I could understand and he recommended a couple of changes to my ideas that would save me money and produce a better result.  After I had my attic insulated (making it a hot roof to maximize the space), Steve built attractive shelves and cubbies where the knee walls had been, he framed in the chimney so I could appreciate the raw brick aesthetic without having to see any of the messy parts.  He dry-walled and framed what had previously been unfinished windows, and he re-finished the original wide-plank floor so it looked clean and beautiful without losing the rustic feel.  
Steve is straight out of leave it to Beaver -- honest, hard working, smart, resourceful, and humble.  He will help you find the most cost-effective way to achieve your goals.  He's got an amazing sense of aesthetics and is also highly technically skilled.  I think he is LEED certified.
