My husband and I are pretty handy, but I purchased a fan that had dimmable up and down lighting, along with a reversible multispeed fan and a "control panel" rather then switches. This group of electricians was also among those recommended by the store from which I purchased the fan. They were available within 2-3 weeks. I had to go to work, but my husband said the electrician arrived on time. He cleaned up after himself such that when I got home there was only my fully functional fan hung and the old one sitting in the box the new one came in at the edge of my living room. The estimated cost when I made the appointment was accurate to the billing.

This project went very well, as have all the others.
Our happiness with electricians over the years has varied widely, but Design Electric is the first group that I felt was solid on all fronts. At the minimum I want an electrician to get back to me in a reasonable timeframe and then do what they say, when they say. (Even though that's the minimum I want, some places don't deliver even that.)
DE goes beyond that: they also listen well, ask questions well, explain problems and options well, and are good at keeping me informed about scheduling and how things are going. Besides that, they're pleasant people to work with: always professional, courteous, and patient. In short, they're professional not only in how they do their work, but also in how they work with us--and that's an important part of making sure the right work gets done.
