Dane County Tree Service

I have used Dane County Tree Service for over 13 years to reduce the number of trees in our backyard.  John Uhalt is prompt, professional, and always gives me a good price for each job he does.  Our neighbors have hired him based on the work his crew has done for us.  This was the most trees I've ever had removed at one time.  The black locust trees had gotten to be about 70 feet tall throughout the years.  It is fascinating watching the guys climb the trees and swing from ropes with chain saws and pruning saws. Due to the fact that there is limited access to our backyard no equipment can be used so everything is done manually. It took three days to complete the work even with bad weather conditions.  Also, our neighbor had a black locust tree removed and an ash tree trimmed at the same time. The guys are wonderful to talk to and ask questions when uncertain instead of making assumptions.  There was no damage to the ornamental trees, shrubs, and plantings under the trees and everything was cleaned and hauled away.  I have the stumps cut flush to the ground and use stump killer before covering with mulch.  I only have two more black locust trees to remove and then I will be done for good!  I will only hire Dane County Tree Service for tree removal.   

The crew did a great job. There was some confusion between the time of estimate and the actual service, because Mr. Uhalt wrote down the wrong telephone number. He had done work for us before and had done a great job, so we were willing to overlook that this time. The price had more than doubled from last time, but was similar to another bid we had received.

They do a good job. The last time they were here was about 2 months ago. We only have them come about once a year. They are prompt, quick, and easy to talk with. They are also pretty careful. They listen to what you tell them. They honor your requests. I think they are a little higher in pricing than others, about in the middle. They do a good job with what you ask them to do. We haven't had any problems, and they are coming back this summer.

They were superior. They understand what they do and they do quality work.
