Carolyn did a fantastic job! I needed an illusion neckline adjusted on a dress for a wedding. The work was perfect, on time and reasonable. I will be recommending Carolyn to anyone needing a quality seamstress.

My daughter brought Carolyn 2 bar stool seat covers from Ikea that were too big and one seat cover that fit the chair to use as a sample. The seat covers were brought in on 7/1/15  - the receipt said  "2 seat covers and 1 sample - $15/hr - 3-4 week time". I called Carolyn 28 days later to see if the seat covers were ready - she said "I said I couldn't get to them for 3 to 4 weeks". That is not true, otherwise I would not have used her.  Within a few days she called me back and asked for another sample chair seat, because she couldn't figure how they went together (must have taken the sample apart and unable to put back together).  Also, when she called me on 8/7/15 to state that the seat covers were ready for pick up - she said the cost was $94.00!
I said WOW and she said "it was a lot of work".
In the future - if she is in over her head and the cost seems to be increasing quickly - Carolyn needs to call the customer and ask if she should try to do it on her own or state that she is unable to complete the job.

Very professional and friendly.  Very reasonably priced.  Excellent workmanship. Although she suggested it could be a week or so before the work was finished, it was finished in just a few days.  And perfectly done.  Just great and I'll have her done more for me in the weeks/months ahead., I couldn't be happier.

As other reviewers have already stated, Carolyn is very good at what she does. Her prices are very reasonable and turn around time is quick. I am very pleased with having chosen Carolyn. Just goes to show that Angie's List is so helpful finding the right people for the job.

The experience was very professional. We had my daughter's prom dress shortened. There were 7 layers to the dress. The dress was done when it said it would be. Carolyn is real easy to work with. She has a room in her house that she utilizes for her altering needs. I will definitely use her in the future.

Carolyn was very prompt to return my call and I dropped off all of the materials the same day. I have her instructions on how long each piece of cording was to be, and a bolt of fabric and she cut all of the fabric and sewed it around the cording by the next day. I was amazed to get a call from her the next morning after dropping the items off, saying that everything was ready and set to go, and the price was VERY reasonable. The quality was excellent, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for alterations or miscellaneous sewing needs.

Carolyn was, simply, phenomenal. She was quick to respond to my email inquiry, and her turnaround time was about a week for four suits. The price was significantly less than other providers in the area, and I would happily take any future business to her. Highly, highly recommended.

Caroline works out of her home. She has a room for you to change in and it's very comfortable. I brought my 4 year old with me and she has a little chair for kids and some books to read. She worked fast and was very friendly. It took less than 1 week for her to call me to say that my garments were finished. She did a wonderful job.

I dropped-off six pair of slacks on April 22, 2013, and Carolyn phoned on April 30 to let me know they were ready for pick-up.
Her quoted price was less than I anticipated, they were ready much more quickly than I would have expected, and the results could not be better. I left her with eight more pair of slacks for the same treatment, and have arranged to pick them up in a few days.
Carolyn is pleasant and professional. If I don't add another post next week, you'll know that I am just as happy with the remaining work.

It was an excellent experience.

Called to set up an appt. Carolyn works out of her home, M-F. She was very accomodating to meeting time. She had me try ont he pants with the shoes I wear with them and pinned them, confirming the desired length. She said it would be a week but it was 3 or 4 days when they were done. She called when they were finished. Excellent work at very reasonable price ( I think it was $33 for three pair of pants).

Caroline responded promptly to my intial e-mail and did an excellent job of replacing the zipper. I am so glad to have found a skilled seamstress and will be using her again.

I was in and out quickly. Caroline is very personable and her home was warm and comfortable on a blustery winter day :) I can tell she is a perfectionist in what she does.

It went well. She was able to see me the next day. She was able to complete the work with in 7 to 10 day window. She also repaired some other items.

I called in the morning, too the pants to her and she did the work and called me when they were done.

The alterations turned out nicely. There were a couple issues with the skirts, but she, for the most part, was able to fix the problem before I left.

Referred to her from another alterations agency. Contacted Carolyn, who was able to look of the project right away and give me an estimate. Even though I let her know it was not a rush job, she completed the job by the end of the day. The mend looked great and the final price was within her estimate. Throughout, her manner was very professional and pleasant.
