Cabinet Masters

Work by contractor was finished late in 2014; but we have waited to see how things hold up,.  The answer is excellent.  Cabinet Masters' contractor/designer Katie Merical and Cabinet Masters' carpenters Todd and Mats did excellent work in the kitchen.  Old, yellow pine circa 1950s kitchen was updated.  Cabinet boxes of 3/4" plywood were in good shape so refacing was chosen.  New look was maple, paint grade wood in a Shaker design.  Paint color was chosen to correlate with living room trim.  Several samples on the actual wood to be used were viewed before the final color choice was made.   Glass inserts were added in some upper cabinets and new, antique bronze hardware was selected.  All has held up very, very well these past 9 months.  Cabinets clean up easily and open easily; all still look excellent.
     As designer, Ms. Merical helped us in selection of materials and colors, and never pushed us to make quick choices.  
     As contractor, Ms. Merical did excellent work.  Work above and beyond cabinet door replacement meant subcontracting for electrical, HVAC, countertops, painting, and roofing.  All subcontractors were on time as set by Ms. Merical, and subcontractors chosen did excellent work.  Installation of the refacing,  adding a new cabinet, and rebuilding some decorative shelves was done very well by carpenters Todd and Mats.  The back splash tile, with our own design, was selected from ProSource and expertly installed by carpenter Mats. 
     

We had a great experience with Cabinet Masters.  They were professional, punctual and offered no-pressure for their services.  We really liked that they do not contract out their services, which ensures the quality of the product.  A few weeks later we noticed an issue with the cabinet and they quickly resolved the issue.  I would definitely recommend them for cabinet refacing services.

Work was done as described in the bid. We were particularly impressed with the quality of refacing as it truly looks like we had entirely new cabinets installed.  Also in the estimate phase they recommended a couple small, fairly inexpensive enhancements to cabinet shelving that we now delight in every day.
Work was done on time, in budget and with no surprises. The fit and finish is awesome.

They did build a very high quality bookcase.  It exceeded all my expectations!

Relatives and friends have had nothing but very favorable comments. One friend exclaimed "Oh how satisfied the men builders must have felt.. Its beautiful!"

It was a bit expensive, and took some time to be built and install, but was very well worth it! 

They were awesome!! I had four companies look at the job and Cabinet Masters provided a quote with the first visit. They were not the low bid (that's why cost is a "B") but I was most impressed with the detail of the initial visit. The kitchen looks wonderful, they were extremely efficient and professional. I also appreciated that they cleaned up every day - that one thing lessened the chaos of having a kitchen emptied and torn up. I highly recommend this company.

Job went very well. They were very professional on helping with design work, giving us ideas when needed but not pushing too much. Job went very quickly (2-3 days), they replaced all kitchen cabinet doors, resurfaced the underlying cabinets, replaced molding on top and bottom. They cleaned up the house everyday (I hardly noticed they were there when I came home from work).

They finished the job in four days. They were awesome, the bid came in and I paid what they said. They were always on time and they cleaned up after themselves. They also did a couple of extra things for me that I asked which we hadn't talked about.

Overall our experience has been positive because they have stood behind their work. The designer adapted the installation to fit the design features that we wanted to maintain in our house. We had many choices to choose from in order to stay within our budget.
