Bug and Insect Pest Control Service, Termite Pest Control Service, Commercial Pest Control for Bugs and Insects Service,

About us

I have worked in the construction industry (both commercial and residential) for 22 years. As result of this experience I and my associates know about possible bat intrusions at the roof line drip edge, soffit & fascia joints & junctions, roof vents , ridge caps , chimney grout joints , loose flashing , dormer pockets , dormer gables ( tops & ends ) , roof gable tops & ends . A few years ago my friend Mike Bakke was laid up for a short period of time and asked me to help him with his bat business. I set up some ladders for him & learned how to determine where bats were entering housing structures and how to humanely exclude them by installing EXCLUDERS (one way doors) and sealing all other gaps, holes that bats can find and squeeze back in. Using his 34 years of experience he basically taught me almost everything I know about bats and their indispensable value to the environment. With the help of his unique perspective I have developed a deep appreciation for bats and the part they play in balancing earth’s ecology. So much so that I have driven over 100 miles to rescue just one bat! Ken and Barb Bowman of Bat Conservation of Wisconsin rehab bats from near death and nurse them back to life to reintroduce them back to the environment. I work together with them to save as many bats as I can. I can safely say I have never knowingly killed a bat as well as trying to educate as many people as possible on how to safely remove bats from peoples’ homes. It’s also been part of my ongoing endeavor to extol the value of bats in mosquito abatement. (They can eat half their body weight of mosquitoes a night). I look forward to continue serving the interests of helping the public to safely remove bats from people’s homes and business’s, thus saving as many bats as possible.

Very well. They explained everything to me carefully and the job was done efficiently. They offer a follow up service (coming back one year after installation to re-check the work) and I did that as well. The cost was very reasonable and they were very thorough. I was very pleased.

We sought their services because we had a few instances of bats flying around inside our house and could hear them nesting in our rafters during the winter. Joe was a pleasure to work with. The price was great and unlike some other companies, they do not charge a fee to come give an estimate. They also clearly care about bats and are concerned with their welfare.
As far as the actual work was concerned, two men spent a few hours on the exterior of our house sealing up places where bats were likely gaining access to the interior of our home, which included repairing damaged soffits. They then installed two exclusion doors which allow bats to leave but won't let them come back in. They offer a two-season guarantee, which ought to be enough to ensure that the job was done correctly. The house actually looks better now that they're done.
Cleaning up after the bats leave is not a service they offer, but we had a small infestation so it should be easy for me to do myself. If you have a large infestation and need professional cleanup, you'll probably have to find an additional company to do that work.

We have been getting a bat in the house this time of year, every year, for the past few years and we were very ready to be done with this problem. Joseph came to assess the problem very promptly and saw exactly where some possible entrance points were. He then scheduled a day and he and his assistant came and spent several hours putting in and quot;bat doorsand quot; that allow bats to exit but not to re-enter. They also covered other holes that were possible problems in the eaves of out 100 year old house. The reason I put N/A for price and quality is that only time will tell if the problem is solved. I can tell you, though, that if it is solved, as Joseph said it should be, then I would say that the money was certainly well spent! The work comes with a guarantee through next bat season and I will definitely know more then.

The Bats Away company is awesome. Joe came down and gave us an estimate and explained exactly what he was going to do to and quot;bat proofand quot; our house. He came back a few weeks later and performed the service. Joe was pleasant, easy to talk to, and is extremely knowledgeable about bats and removing them humanely. He gave us other recommendations that we could do on our own to help prevent any other bats from entering. His price was very reasonable and he guarantees his work for 2 seasons.
I would recommend him to anyone who has a bat problem in your house.

The proprietor came and gave an estimate, and he inspired confidence. He had to postpone the first appointment, but we then rescheduled and it went fine.
