American fence came out and put up portion of a cedar fence on our property.  Jim and his brother were great.  Excellent service, great price, and quality work.  Very happy with the work they have done.  We will be bringing them back from the remainder of the fence we are planning on doing.  Highly recommend.

It went well, there was an initial snag with posts and buried power lines, however this was quickly sorted out and the installers used concrete and shallower holes in that area. This did raise the price slightly, but not significantly. The fence is holding up well 2 years later.

Very well, but they had to take out a lot more shrubs and trees than was estimated in order to get the fence in. They cleaned up reasonably well although later I found some metal pieces in the brush. It looks great and the workers were very nice and professional. Sam, the owner and his son, Jim were both great to work with.

Jim came out to survey the property and give us an estimate. He was friendly and gave us some good recommendations and listened to our concerns. We received the estimate by mail in about 2 days. The quote came in $800 lower than the next closest bid and several thousand below the highest bid. After signing and returning the contract with the deposit, we didn't hear anything for about a month. Upon calling, they insured us we were on the wait list, and we received a call about a week later to schedule the work. The work started on time. The old fence was removed and the new posts installed in the first day of work, then chain link was strung on day two, and the finishing touches and cedar front fence were finished by noon on day three. They were very efficient in their work. We received a follow-up call from Sam, the owner, who told us to call if there was ever anything that we needed or had concerns about.

American has a great price on a fence. After that, forget it. We have a whole neighborhood where they built fences, including ours, and we have had a great number of households in our neighborhood that have had their fences raise out of the ground and they will simply do nothing about it. I get it, it seems like our neighborhood has some heavy shifting in the Spring. But they will continue to build the fences and not anchor them down to the correct depth and not tell the homeowner anything about it. Build and forget and do nothing seems to be their mantra. When I say nothing I mean they will put the phone down on you when you try to force the issue with them. They simply don't care. If price matters, go with these guys. If quality matters go with someone else.

We began the estimate prior to owning the home. The company was great with getting the estimate, working with changes we made to the original plan, and completing the job. The fence looks great! The work took two days and the guys were very efficient.

Called American Fence company, as well as many other companies to get an estimate. The estimator, I believe the son and co-owner showed up on time and was very pleasant to deal with. We discussed the many fencing options available and ended up getting quotes for the cedar picket, as well as chain link and black chain link fence options. The father/owner sent out a hand written estimate the next day, via the mail. They had one of the better prices, and I was able to see other examples of their work around town. When we decided to go with American, they wanted half down as a deposit, and the balance was billed to us upon completion. Dropped off the deposit, cash or check only, and had a very nice discussion with the father/owner. American strongly suggests that you get a property survey before they come to do the install. Since we had just moved into house, I had planned to do this anyway, and American gave me a couple of surveyor referrals. They also request that you remove any brush/trees from the path of your intended fence layout. They had about a 2-3 week backlog, but I was contacted before 2 weeks and given an approximate date for the installation. The crew who would be doing the work then kept in contact with me over the next couple of days, as we had some heavy rains that pushed the job back a day or two. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would, walked me through the layout and got right to work. They spent a half a day putting in the metal posts and cedar stringers, then showed up the next day to put up the pickets and build the two gates. The crew was very professional, and I enjoyed talking with them. The materials look to be of very good quality, and the fence is very solid. All in all, we have been very happy with the fence, and have gotten multiple compliments on it from folks in the neighborhood. Would highly recommend them to anyone else.

Overall, it was really good. I got in during their Spring sale. They were straight forward about how they approached the business. They honored their estimate. They worked fast and got it done in two days. They were willing to fix any broken boards. The fence still looks good and is working good.
