ABRA Auto Body & Glass - West Madison

This company was previously known as ABRA but bought out. From the time I called to schedule an appointment until I paid the bill, I received "top-notch" service. It was clear the team was interested in meeting my needs rather than trying to simply maximize profits ... something rare to see in this economy. Can't say enough positive things about them.

The work was done thru the Gieco Auto repair Xpress. The customer service at Abra was excellent. The customer service manager communicated everything that was going to be done and stayed in touch with the  progress of how things were going up until work was finished. The only sticking point was when I came to pick it there were still a couple small spots that were scuffed. Someone from the body shop immediately came up and was able to fix them in a a short period of time.Again, I was very happy with the customer service.

I was sent to Abra by my insurance adjuster.  Abra discovered additional damage that was overlooked by the adjuster and not included in the initial repair contract.  Abra worked with my insurance company to cover the addtional damage. Abra kept in regular contact with me and had the car ready before the promised date.  Throughout the entire process Abra was exceptionally professional and treated me with respect and courtesy.  They even provided me with a rental loaner car at their expense.

A stone chipped the windshield of my car and the placement and depth of the impact required full replacement.  In warmer weather, ABRA often does windshield replacements at the customer's location.  However, given the cold outdoor air temperature they requested that I have the work done inside their shop as the glue required additional time in a warmer environment to set properly.  All of this was relayed to me prior to the appointment along with the cost of service.  The job was done in the estimated time (2 hours) and at the quoted price.  I took the car in for a wash at a different business a few days later and no leaks were found along the windshield, so I would say that they did quality work.

Abbra was fast on our quote, took care of all the paperwork with our insurance company, and performed the work with high quality. Could not tell the car had been in an accident after it was over. The manager there was very prompt in communicating with us, and let us know of any changes (some damage was worse than initial inspection) and on the time-lines as things progressed. Would definitely use Abbra again for any car body repair needs.

Update: Abra fixed the moldings and detailed my Acadia again. The work looks great! I would recommend Abra and Andrew.

They were very nice. We made an appointment, took the vehicle in and were fixed in short order. We did not get anywhere near the runaround and hemming and hawing we have always experienced from the dealerships. It just got done and was not very expensive.

They came within the timeframe they said they would, but did not let me know in advance the exact time. I had been told by the scheduler that they would. On line system didn't seem to work, but once I called, the scheduler was very nice and efficient. The actual work seems just fine--there was no sign of glass or other materials after they were done and I've not seen any problems like water leakage. Price was what I was told it would be. In general a good experience.

Over a course of 3 years, my Honda Odyssey received a series of dents and scratches on side doors and front fender. A few places were rusting, which finally pushed me to repair. The ABRA technician was very patient as I asked a lot of questions, and gave me a few price options. Everything they repaired looks good as new. And has held up well over a rough winter.
Where ABRA really won me over, was a return visit where a backup sensor was missing. When I had this backup sensor reviewed at the dealer, they quoted me about $400. When I took it to ABRA, the technician took time to recognize the sensor was not lost, but rather dislodged and HIDING deep in the bumper. And trust me, I tried to locate it on my own, outside of removing the entire bumper. Now the best part, is ABRA repaired this for me at NO CHARGE.

They were excellent. I did not see them on the thing there but. The service I believe was in early July. I really wanted to write a review for them because they were that exceptional so I very, very highly recommended. My insurance covered most of it but I think it was probably about $4000 and they did an auto body service. They make sure I have a rental car. They went out there way to bring me home when I didn't have my car and pick me up when I needed to get the car so they have their delivery service. Beside that that they just made the car look brand new again. They are very professional and the other thing that they did was they updated me through my texting in my phone as to how the progress was going because it did take they had in a two different city to have it work done part of it work done. They communicated very well with me.

I called ABRA's glass center, Adam was very helpful and accommodating. He was able to get me a morning appointment for the next available day. I had asked him if ABRA had any coupons for Angie's List members; he said not at the moment but he decided to drop the price $25. When I arrived at the ABRA shop it was hard to find a parking spot but the lady behind the counter was extremely nice. The mechanic that was going to work on my car came out and said that my windshield was never picked up so he would have to go pick it up across town. I didn't have a ride home so my 2 hour wait jumped to a 3-4 hour wait. Luckily there is a nearby coffee shop and some restaurants so I hung out there and used their wifi (ABRA doesn't have wifi). SMART auto is next to them and is responsible for the sidewalks; they were very icy and dangerous but the ABRA receptionist said she would inform them. 2 hours later my car was ready; I had to wait 1 more hour for the glue to set then I was able to leave. Stuff happens; I think it's important to realize that even good businesses have some miscommunication and unforeseeable problems. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to take my car to them and I will recommend ABRA if anyone is looking for a shop to replace auto glass.

There was a delay of a couple of days before I could bring the car in for service. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. They did have to order the left front side panel three times as the first two times the part did not fit. That cause a one day delay in scheduled return date.
Over all it was a pleasant experience.

From start to finish they were very professional.

A rock hit my window and the resulting crack grew and grew. I called, made an appt and dropped off the car in the morning. The auto glass was fixed within a few hours and it looks great. No complaints.
