Very flexible and easy to work with.  Quality was inconsistent.  In some cases, required our re-cleaning for some surfaces to actually look clean.

I have used this company for about 9 months and while at first the service was excellent, the quality has gone down dramatically in recent months. The arrival times of the cleaning group are wildly unpredictable: they give me the range of 12 - 2pm on Fridays, but some days they are here closer to 4. I have also noticed that items (cleaning rags, feet slipper covers) are left in various rooms of my house after they leave and that certain areas (behind the couch, in corners in the bathroom) are not cleaned at all. The customer service is downright impossible, since most of the time that I call I receive only the voice mail service and often do not get call backs. An e-mail that I once sent was never returned. I am definitely switching services.

I have been disappointed with the customer service from the office staff. I called to set up the first appointment and had to leave a message on an answering machine. My first contact was an email from Scott Kindberg, I then called him and found out more about the company and scheduled a 5-star cleaning. There was confusion on my part about the price for the first cleaning I didn't read that a first time deep clean could cost $180. The team gave me the bill for the amount and I refused to pay it because I didn't understand why the price was so high--the team members spoke very little English and couldn't explain so I called the office and was told the price was $180 but there wasn't any explanation so I only paid $105. I feel bad and will pay the difference next time but an explanation on the phone could have cleared up the problem for me. I didn't receive a follow-up call or email from Scott and that surprises me. My second experience was Wednesday, November 4 and I was very pleased with the cleaning service provided. I will continue to use A Helping Hand and would recommend them but would suggest to the office staff that they offer a customer service experience that mirrors the excellent cleaning service the team provides.

They were okay. We called them and asked them about something. They messed up the scheduling the first time around. They said that they were going to be there at a specific time and day, but they neglected to do it. We then scheduled for a week later and they promised to do a free fridge cleaning. However, the way it worked out was that they cleaned the fridge, but charged me for the whole time they were there. The downstairs looks great and upstairs looks like they were sick of cleaning. So the upstairs wasn’t quite as good. They did a pretty decent job overall. So downstairs was awesome and upstairs wasn’t. I wouldn’t recommend them. I would give people that anecdote and would tell them to go ahead if they want to deal with them.

I used their services 4 times about a month ago and I paid $100 per time. They were very good and thorough but were a little expensive. The workers didn’t speak English very well. It was a little hard to communicate especially with the housecleaning job. It was hard to get through if I wanted to tell them that something didn’t have to be done every time but it needed to be checked. So that was my complaint about them other than their price. However, they were excellent at what they did. So it was kind of a high end service. It’s probably good if you have the money. So we stopped using them since we found another company for a bit cheaper price. I even negotiated a little bit since the price that they had offered initially was even higher. I got them to give me a little better deal and I still thought that it was a little high. It took a while for them to respond but it’s probably because I was rushing around since I had just moved. However, they were here every time I needed them to be here. It also worked out for me without any problems. If I have the money, then I would use their services again.

I chose them because they have good ratings and responsive employees. They respond to phone calls and emails and their professionalism is pretty good.

A Helping Hand has been to see us twice - first to do a top-to-bottom cleaning and then for the first of what will be bi-weekly cleaning of our entire house. We have 3 big dogs, so things get gritty and hairy in a hurry. Tino and Andrea have done a fantastic job for us - they're quite wonderful.
