He came within an hour and after draining the tank spent a while diagnosing the problem. It ended up being a failed control board, which he did not have with him. He said he'd get the part and return the next day to install it, which he did. The unit was still under warranty, so the only charge was for his labor.

4 Lakes Plumbing definitely met my expectations. Great customer service- I was given a quote over the phone. The plumber was here on time and was courteous and professional. Removed my old water heater and installed a new, larger one. The work was done under permit and it passed city inspection without any issues. The best part? 4 Lakes was able to get me hot water 2 days quicker and $350 cheaper than two other competitors for the EXACT same model and size of water heater. Win, Win, Win!
I will definitely use them again.

I was referred to 4 lakes by roto rooter when they determined that the blockage in my basement pipe could not be cleared. It turned out that I needed about 10 feet of pipe replaced and diverted, all underground, due to circumstances that existed before I purchased the house. 4 lakes was courteous, quick, did a great job, worked with my insurer regarding billing, and was very reasonably priced for all the work that was done. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.

I called them in the middle of the night because a cat that I was watching had gotten stuck behind the water heater. The man came out and moved the water heater to get the cat out. He never charged my for the service and went on his way. He was exceptional and I can't say enough good things about him.

When he removed the first toilet, the plumber damage the shut-off valve and we had a huge leak in the basement below that bathroom. Also one of the other toilets with the new flapper continued to leak. When the bill arrived, we found that we had been billed twice for the same work. We paid for the work but then received another bill in late September for the SAME work, again! The bills for 4 Lakes Plumbing are not prompt, nor are they accurate; evidently payments are not recorded either. If you use this company, watch everything, especially the billing and payment, very carefully.

Our first estimates from a different contractor were higher and involved extra steps and complications for the project. Steve from 4 Lakes made it simpler and explained the process so we could understand it. He answered our questions each time we had them and was friendly and eager to please. He gave advice and suggestions to streamline our project and helped us think ahead for future considerations. The estimate was itemized so we could see which items we could afford now and which we could get to later. The workers themselves were friendly and professional. They didn't mind me asking questions and offered to let me watch them work to see how it all came together, explaining it as they went. They were efficient and considerate of keeping the rest of the house clean. On another occasion, we had a frozen pipe and Steve told me how to troubleshoot it over the phone, saving us the time and cost of a visit! It's a good feeling to have a contractor like 4 Lakes to count on!
