Excellent with details that are behind the scenes. Attention to detail where it truly counts, all of the work under the house, behind the walls is perfect. Completion details are less perfect. Overspill on sealer of grout, left lines and drips that we need to remedy. Other small details that we can fix but were frustrating. Communication is very poor. The builder is talented, truly cares about the work done, and seems to think that he is in fact in communication much more than he actually is. Emails often ignored even though he says that is his preferred communication. Face to face communication is much better. Timeline was off in a big way. Project was due to begin approximately June 1st, actually began July 1st. Was promised to complete in 4 months, took a total of 9 months. The inside space looks great and we are really happy with the project now that it is finished. Things I would change if I were to work with this contractor again. - I would have a penalty attached to delays. - I would insist that regular meetings happen to discuss ongoing work. Those details that he things we discussed, but that really were addressed very casually. - Plan of action. I would have a detailed plan of what is expected to happen and when it is scheduled to happen. What needs to be done by homeowner and what is expected of contractor. All in all, I would hire this contractor again. His subs were excellent, the contractor provides a very good product for a great price. The work is quality, we are very pleased. Neighbors comment regularly that the addition does NOT look like an addition, but blends perfectly with the rest of the house.
