Before I realized that the water gushing in my crawlspace was due to a broken sump pump drain pipe, I attempted to turn the main water to the house off to stop the flow. Not only did it not help, but I also (or rather my realtor friend) broke off the valve. And in the off position, no less. We finally figured out we could just unplug the sump to stop the gushing, but I was still stuck with no running water in the house.
I called S & S after hours (around 7 pm), and Ed answered the phone right away. I explained the situation, and Ed told me he could get someone out in 2-3 hours, but that his guy on call had been working non-stop since 5am (lots of storm water issues that day). If I could wait until morning, I could give his guy a break and also save myself a significant amount of money by not paying for an after hours call. I thought that was perfectly reasonable.
Two gentlemen arrived by 7:15 am, and the job was finished by 7:45 am. They even had the right equipment to turn off the water at the street while they worked, so we didn't have to call the village to do it. I'm very pleased with the service I received and the responsiveness of the company.

Our shower valve had malfunctioned causing no variation in the temperature of the water.  It was either scalding hot or freezing cold.  On his forst trip out, he conservatively did a minor repair, costing me less money.  When that failed after a week, he was back out immediately.  It only took one day for the parts to come in.  It was fixed in a jiffy.  Explained some things to me about my water softener too.  He was very patient with this homeowner's questions.  Thank you!

Came the same day as service was requested. Plumber was In and out in 30 minutes. Nice people to hire. Have used them three times in the past year.

My experience with them was a good one, they stood by their products. We had a faucet that was peeling that they had put in and I called them and it was still under warranty. So they replaced the drawer part of the faucet free of charge. They came out free of charge because it was under warranty. They just replaced the damaged one with a new one.

The overall experience was excellent. I really liked that I called them one day and they were here the next. They were in and out fast and I would highly recommend them. I enjoyed them being fast and friendly.

They came right out when we needed them & ran a sewer snake through the line, found the problem & fixed it right away. They didn’t charge extra for the emergency call. They did a thorough job & weren’t overpriced & I was happy.

They always arrived on time and started and finished the jobs in a timely manner. We will give them a call when we need a plumber again.

They removed the old faucet and installed the new one. They did a great job and were very professional.
