+ -1 moreBusiness owner, Stan Howe responded in a timely manner field measuring and reviewing the project for quoting. The house has a 10 & 12 pitch gable roof , 4 valleys, and 2 dormers. The garage and the full length front and rear porches have 4 & 12 pitch roofs. Project size approximately 23 Square, with full tear off and replacement. The quote was available within a week. The quoted costs were close to expected. Material delivery from the manufacturer was longer than expected, but, at no fault of the contractor. The product and color of choice was specified by the owner in the request for quote. The delay between the delivery of materials and the project start was completely attributable to the contractor. Once started, though, the project proceeded in a timely manner to completion. Some project holds existed due to weather. The assigned lead man was very knowledgeable and professional, accommodating the owner while completing the job.
Description of Work: Work will include all materials, labor, tools and equipment to accomplish the following tasks, as discussed, for flashings, counter flashings and roof replacement on the existing house, front and rear porches and unattached garage. Taxes, insurance and any permits are included in this proposal and the responsibility of the contractor: Removal of all existing layers of roofing and damaged felts. Remove 1 x 4 Facia backer board on Garage and replace with 2x6 Facia backer, Aluminum Facia & new roof edge on garage. Installtion of new 30lb felts on all roofs. Replace other roof edge as needed. Install treated 1 x 4 perimeter nailer at all edges. Install ¾ inch isocyranate boards to all roof surfaces. Install White Steel edge cap trim with trim on all surface perimeters. Install Midwest Manufacturing 26 gauge hidden fastener Pro-snap steel roof to all surfaces per discussions and manufacturers recommendations – Color CHARCOAL GRAY. Provide all flashings and counter flashings to dormer walls and penetrations. Remove and replace siding for new flashings. Repair siding as necessary. Provide dumpster and removal of all generated construction waste. Owner has right to include a small quantity of construction waste at no additional cost to this container, with the understanding that it will not increase the number of pick-ups. Contractor will gaurarntee weather integrety during construction. Owner will make available and provide 120 volt electrical service during construction. 25 % initial – 25 % payable with delivery of 90% materials on site -- 50% payable within 20 days of acceptable completion.
