They replaced my roof, performing excellent work while I was away caring for my Mom who was in hospice.

I was caring for my elderly mother and Al took care of things while I was gone. The roof is beautiful and was completed in a thorough and timely manner.

I would highly recommend Alcar Roofing and Home Improvement of La Crosse. Al Carder came over and did the estimate on the spot and explained what needed to be done. He returned all calls and oversaw and worked on the roof himself along with his hard working crew. He's honest, dependable, and gave us a fair price. We're very pleased with the roof.

Al and his team were wonderful. They responded promptly to my voicemail and was able to come out the next day to look over everything. His estimate was very detailed showing all cost for materials and labor. Once work had begun they showed up every day. They started at the same time each day and left at the same time. This was constant until the job was complete. Every day when they were done, you could not tell they had even been there. Because they cleaned up everything. The only way I knew that they were working was by the progress on the roof and the scaffolding. These guys were true professionals. I would absolutely hire them again.

My intent was to hire Alcar to inspect and repair the roof. However, another firm we requested a quote from performed an unauthorized repair. I asked Alcar to come anyway and inspect the work done by the other firm. They did so, confirmed repair was OK, and charged me a minimal fee for their service (which Al ... the owner.. actually didn't want to charge me, but I insisted he be paid for his time). Based on my experience with Alcar, I'd hire them again if/when I need roof work.

Al was prompt, professional, and had a crew out every day and wrapped up quickly. It was a change to see the contractor out doing the work himself, I appreciated that he takes a hands-on approach, and that he values his name on his work. I hope I won't need him again, but if I do, he's my first call.

great service, easy to communicate with and punctual. i didn't know who to call for my roof repairs, but i made the right choice. Alcor fixed my roof for a reasonable price. i highly recommend their services. they know what they are doing. :)

This was probably the best experience we've ever had with a contractor of any kind. Al, the owner, was prompt in returning phone calls. He made appointments and was always on time, and his workers always showed up when promised as well. They made every effort to work around our schedules. Al is an honest, ethical contractor; at the same time, he was conscientious of saving us money without sacrificing quality. The workers were friendly, respectful, and hard-working. We were especially appreciative of how they watched out for our dogs who like run around in the fenced-in yard. The job was finished when it was promised to be finished, and the roof looks great. They even did a great job of clean up, picking up nails and every piece of debris in the lawn and landscaping.
