About us
Having worked in the appliance repair field as a technician for bigger companies for years, servicing all brands including high end and some commercial units, Viking, Bosch, Subzero & Wolf just to name a few, I got sick of how they would overcharge and under service. The customer service and just plain old caring went out the window. It was cramming as many calls in a day as they could to where as a tech, I didn't have the time to give the customer the attention and concern each deserved. So, I decided to give it a go on my own, got myself a work van, got bonded and insured and struggling at first, to say the least, but had the peace of mind being able to give that much needed time and attention to each customer and their unique situation, and not have to rush through jobs and brush people and their concerns off. I started my own business in June of 2010 and never looked back. It has been great, and I've met a lot of really nice people out in the field. I truly appreciate each and every customer who could have called that bigger company but chose to call me instead. With my only means of advertising being good old-fashioned word-of-mouth, my customers mean everything to me and it must show since I've managed to stay in business and support my family and our household all these years without advertising. After a few of my wonderful customers took it upon themselves to go on Angie's List and write reviews I finally decided to advertise with a company that I feel genuinely care about their customers the same way I care about mine.

He replaced heating elements in our electric dryer. Four months later, we heard a mini-explosion and found flames emanating from the back of the dryer. 9-1-1 was called, the fire department and police responded, and they doused the flames and removed the destroyed dryer to the driveway. I have tried to reach Mark Wilkinson several times and he has NEVER responded. Stay away!!!

"I never received a phone call from you. But I can tell you dryer fires are caused from excessive lint build up due to restrictions in the venting which is why I encourage my customers to have their dryer vents cleaned annually. It is also recommended by the national fire safety board."

Mark quickly identified the problem and ordered the part needed to fix it. He returned the next day with the part and completed the repair and the washer is back in service.

I called Mark at approximately 1:00pm and on 6/30/20 and told him our Samsung oven wasn't heating. He gave me a time frame between 2:30 and 5:00 because of other jobs. He showed up at 2:45 immediately diagnosed the problem, told us what the cost would be up front and had it fixed and working within 10 minutes. HE IS A SUPER NICE GUY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. I kind of want to break another appliance to give him more work! He is the owner of the business.

I like in Wauwatosa and not many people in my area support /repair Viking ranges. When I called Mark, he was able to diagnosis the problems over the phone, and provided a very accurate cost estimate. When he showed up for the repair, he was on time, had the necessary parts for the for the repair, extremely professional and included me in the discovery/discussion of the issues with my stove. I would hire Mark again for any of my appliance repair needs; great experience!

Mark attempted a repair and found there might be multiple problems. He told me he could try each probable fix but the cost for parts and time would run close to the purchase of a new unit and may not fix the problem. Honesty appreciated. He advised to get a new unit since mine was 15 years old and even if he managed to fix my unit something else was likely to go in the near future. Mark is a quality guy.

Mark advised me that the cost of the part(he called to check on the price) plus labor would be $450-500. I elected to purchase a new range. I am grateful that he explained the problem and the cost to fix it.

I called Mark on Wednesday morning and left a message. He returned my call within 45 minutes. He set up a service call for Friday between 11am and 1pm. Mark arrived at 11:30am. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the problem with our dryer. He told us the cost for the repair up front and told us if there was any problem after he left to call him. He completed the assessment of the problem and the repair in 35 minutes. I would definitely use Mark's company again!!

Mark adjusted his schedule to accommodate me. Arrived and confirmed problem, carefully removed defective valve and installed new valve I purchased. He was meticulous and careful to not damage our floors. He called the next day to confirm the stove was working properly. He also diagnosed the oven ignition was not up to specs but was not at point to replace.

Mark determined that the washer was in bad shape needing bearing, pulley & belt replacement. He estimated repairs to be in excess of 50% cost of a new washer. His service call cost was minimal and we appreciated his honestly and advice towards the replacement. Definitely keep his name for future appliance repairs.

Job was done in a timely manner. Mark had to take the machine apart to replace the bellows. When he was done, the job site was neat and clean. He explained what he was doing and was very patient with all my questions.

He looked at the unit and looked at various parts of the dryer. Seems the rattle was coming from the back panel. Ultimately he wasn't able to stop the rattle, but he did confirm that it wasn't something that would lead to a bigger issue, which was my main concern. He spent about an hour working on the dryer, and only charged me the $59 service call. He was prompt, professional, personable, and seemed honest.

I was very impressed with Mark. We just moved to Kenosha and were concerned about finding a good and reasonable repair person. Even though I called him after 4 p.m., he still called me back the same day. He was able to come to my home to repair my oven within a few days. I needed to replace the heating element. When he called me back, he asked for the model and had ordered the part I needed without looking at my stove so if he was right, I wouldn't have to wait additional days to get it ordered. He was very professional and reasonable. I will definitely call him again if I ever need an appliance repaired again.

The agitator was sluggish and the spin cycle went out on my washer. I found Mark Wilkinson Appliance Repair on Angie's List, along with some very positive reviews. Mr. Wilkinson was prompt, very professional, knowledgeable and fixed two problems on my washer (broken dog ears on agitator and spin switch broken). He had the parts in his van and had my washer back in service in short order. From the time he took my call to the time he was off to his next call was less than one hour. His fee was reasonable and I would not hesitate to hire him again. What a pleasure to find a repairman who is friendly, fast, and fair . . . and knows what he's doing. I highly recommend him.
