Carlino's Roofing

So, Carlino's roofing put a roof on one of my buildings, his price was in the ballgame, but when I asked him about a feature he removed from the quote, without saying a thing (tuck pointing the chimney, this disappeared when I asked him to clarify how the gutters would be handled) he said they just didn't do that anymore. Well that one is on me, if a guy can slip one by you on a contract, it was up to me to verify, tho it makes you wonder. But then, a few months later during a rain storm , I saw water pouring down the side of the house. Checking, I saw the gutter had been twisted, but when I called Carlino's the owner said he had no idea what happened, his guys had not touched it, but for 400.00 he'd send some guys out. So out comes the ladder and I find broken hangers and the gutter so bent, me and another guy couldn't put it into place without strapping it and cranking it into position. Folks, this didn't happen by itself, but Mr. Carlino professes mystification? If your considering his bid, check it well, and if someone else is within 10%.....

Do have some one on the house when the do the job this way you keep an eye of any shortcut the workers may try to use on you. If needed call their manager right away. He will come and get the issue resolve. I bet if I didn't stay in my house, I might have a different story. I've made them go to the hardware store to get extra pieces of lumber. That is why I gave you a C instead of an A or B. The company should brought all materials and some extra just in case to avoid trips to the lumberyard. It happens!
