American Radon Removal

The installation and re-testing went well. After the installation of the system our radon readings dropped below the EPA standards. The work was performed well and on time.

A radon fan was installed, and my levels dropped well below safety limits. The price was very reasonable (sorry I don't remember the exact mount) and the results were very satisfactory.

I called Jeff Tenuta as a referral from my realtor. He came and did an assessment of our situation and gave us two options - standard exhaust along the exterior or our home or for a couple of hundred dollars more, we could minimize the exterior exposure of the system and vent through our garage roof. We chose the latter and I'm happy we did. Jeff did a great job of installing the system and explaining to us how it worked and the simple system pressure check we would need to perform periodically to ensure the system was functioning properly. Our test results showed a tremendous reduction in our radon levels - orders of magnitude lower than the original score.

I called the number on a Friday hoping to schedule a time for estimate the following week. The owner, Jeff Tenuta, answered and was able to come on Saturday to give the estimate. He explained the various options, including the pros and cons. He also looked at the existing system to see what might be able to be reused. He gave us an estimate of $695 for the system and $125 for a submersible sump pump. The $695 fee included a post remidiation test. He guarantees the work will drop the level below the EPA guidelines and agreed to transfer the guarantees to the subsequent homeowners. The price included sealing of the cracks in the floor. He was even willing to come back a week later we could make the whole basement floor accessible. He provided information on his certifications and registrations in the proposals. We were pleased with Jeff's work, his work ethic and his service.
