Wenzel Home Improvement

The hardware on a window I had replaced just a couple of years ago malfunctioned, and for the life of me I couldn't remember who had installed it. I narrowed it down to four companies, and called Wenzel Home Improvement first. I explained my situation to Shawn who said he would search the database (I couldn't remember the exact year either) and get back to me. When we next talked (2 days later) he gave me the news that I had never been their customer, and that Wenzel's didn't sell or service the type of window I was having a problem with. I thought that would be the end of it, but Shawn instructed me to search for the little label on the rim of the window and tell him what it said. From that information he gave me the name of the local window supplier (not the company who did the work for me, but the company who sold them the window), told me to call them, and to take a photo of the label and have it ready because the supplier could probably take care of everything for me. When I thanked him he said that if that didn't work, to feel free to call him back and he'd try a couple of other things that might help to track down my original installer. I called the supplier and they said they could take it from there as soon as I sent them the photo of the label. The window is still under warranty so they'll send someone out to repair it within a the week. In a nutshell, I never contracted Wenzel Home Improvement to do any home repair, but because of the above-the-top service and professional generosity Shawn freely gave me (and I wasn't even a customer!), I will be looking to them first the next time I need something.

Quality of work is outstanding. One large picture window had custom round top with a lot of wood trim that needed to match existing woodwork in house. Wood vinyl trim matched the customer stained woodwork perfectly. Shawn Wenzel is professional, friendly, and stands up to the reputation of his company with integrity and high quality. Will use again when we put in more windows.
