Started ok, but as the work progressed, the individual we were dealing with kept ordering the wrong sizes. In addition, they failed to inform us the original countertop selected was actually a clearance item and clearance priced. When it came time to select the actual slabs for our coutertops, we were told they were no longer available. We selected a different item, only to get charged more money since the new countertop was not clearance priced. Out of six contractors who have done work at our house over the past 18 months, this is the one contractor I will not consider for future work.

The ~4 day project took 31 days from start to finish. The company and their flooring installer Nathan Albrecht were disrespectful and unreliable by regularly showing up late, on multiple occasions hours late, and majority of the time not even giving notice that they would be late. The first attempt at replacing a stairway ended with stairs differing in height by over 2 inches, causing rework and delay. Flooring materials had to be reordered twice, causing delay. In my opinion I was overcharged for any additional work that was performed. The ~4 day project took 31 days to complete. Not even months post project completion and the project began falling apart. In the first few months post completion I had 6 pieces of new stair nosing become detached from the stairs. Areas where caulk was used are starting to separate so gaps are visible, and there is an area of floor bubbling. Even when the project is complete, the disaster continues. Total Concept & Design's project Nathan Albrecht performed is falling apart just months after completion. Rather than being happy and content with the project, I’m just thinking when is the next stair nose going to fall off? Will someone get injured?

I bought a house that had been sitting vacant for awhile and wanted new kitchen and bathroom countertops. I also tiled the bathrooms and put up a tile backsplash in the kitchen. I looked at a couple different places and ended up working with Chris at Total Concept because their prices were more than fair, they have a big selection of just about everything(solid surface, granite, and laminate counters, door and drawer handle, flooring, tile, etc.). Chris was great to deal with. He knows what he's doing and he would would offer his professional opinions while not being pushy. He wanted to make sure we were happy with what we got. Everything turned out great and the installers were very professional and good at what they did. I highly recommend these guys!

Overall, excellent. Only two things to mention. 1) The cost came in 30% over the estimate, but on the other hand, there was no extra charge for extra sets of blueprints to use for bids. 2) The product took longer than I expected, but I hadn't given a definite requirement date, so it wasn't actually late. It was a very pleasant experience, the draftsman was very knowledgable, and I'm very happy with the blueprints.
