I think the basement framing ran high in price but the major issue was the patio door. We laid out ahead of time exactly how the job was to be done and were quoted 700.00. When I came home I was looking at studs around the door, a chuck of drywall ripped out, an unfinished threashold, and no trim. He actually said he thought we would finished the job. He said he would come back and finish and we set up a later time. The second time he came he only added trim and left again! To top it off he put up trim without fixing the drywall leaving a huge visible hole in my wall. We never asked him to return and did not pay full price...probably should have paid at all. So not only was the door installed completely wrong (brand new door won't latch correctly to this day) he left my house a mess with unfinished holes he created! I was so upset. What really set me off after the fact was that I discovered he had went around my house using my tools including a table saw in the garage and a wet/dry vac under the basement stairwell. This was really upsetting for me and totally crossing the line! Ron seemed to me a smoth talker lacking expertise to back it up. He did as little work as possible for as much money as possible. I wonder if he even had the tools for the job seing as how he was using all of mine without permission.
