Sometimes plans come up where the kids need to be taken care of at home, or the animals need care. As we all know, you want your loved ones in good hands whilst absent from your home. You want someone friendly, caring, and responsible. Someone willing to build a relationship with your children and provide physical and mental support, while also teaching them new things and providing entertainment. My name is Mira Singh, and I am here to offer all of these qualities. I have been babysitting since I was young. I am 14 years old now, and have babysat kids outside of my family and even built friendships with these kids. I can provide nutritious meals whilst also providing quality attention to the kids. Children deserve new experiences to help them grow, and I can provide that by teaching them cool tricks and skills, along with helping with schoolwork if needed. I have 3 younger siblings, all of which are very energetic. I am good with compromises and I love playing games. I can work with and provide care for children from infantry, up to kids around my age depending on your preference. As for my young age, I will be babysitting from my home. We have a theatre, pool table, foosball, board games, books, karaoke machine, educational shows, instruments, and more. We also have a large yard for outside activities such as basketball, soccer, frisbee, etc. There are 2 younger boys in the house, ages 4 and 9. They are very playful kids, and we have tons of toys that can bring joy to every kid.

Childproofing services FAQs

In many cases, you can DIY home childproofing with success. You can purchase childproofing tools like cabinet locks, outlet covers, and table-edge guards and install them easily.

However, it's best to have a professional childproofing service work on larger projects like pool safety or furniture anchoring. These safety measures can take a lot of time and effort to DIY, plus, you want to ensure the tasks are done correctly to keep your child safe.

Many parents, especially first-time parents, agree that professional childproofing is worth it. These professional childproofing services are trained to recognize dangerous home situations that many people would overlook until it's too late. Furthermore, professional childproofing experts have access to top-of-the-line equipment you can't purchase at most stores, providing longevity and peace of mind.

A professional childproofer will first survey your home to identify potentially dangerous locations, including stairs, cabinets, and pools. Once approved, your professional will order and install the safety equipment for you.

Some ways a childproofing professional will make your home safe include:

  • Anchoring large furniture

  • Installing safety gates

  • Installing safety latches on cabinets and drawers

  • Covering railings that could trap a child

  • Covering electrical outlets

  • Installing a swimming pool fence

  • Removing or covering electrical cords where possible

The average cost of childproofing services is $410. This cost can range from $190 to $630 or more, depending on the size of your home and what services you need.

The location of the childproofing additions also plays a vital role in the overall cost. For example, a bathroom is relatively small and costs about $150 to fully childproof. However, if you have a swimming pool, you could spend as much as $1,500 to $10,000 to make it entirely safe for small children, including adding a pool fence.

The best time to hire a childproofing professional is at least three months before your due date. Although it might seem early, proper childproofing takes time, especially if you need extensive services like a pool fence. Getting your house ready now before your child is on the go only helps to protect them at all stages of life.
