It went well.

Terence installed new hardwood floors throughout my new co-op. He had to work through many issues with the co-op management company because the requirements for changes to the building were not documented, and he ultimately had to change his initial installation design and timeline. Through frustrating and time consuming, Terence excuded complete professionalism throughout the process. Terence worked with me to find the perfect custom stain when none existed for the color I had envisioned. He gave excellent advice and recommendations as to the type of wood we used. The requirements for installation in a historic building meant addtional work to adjust doors, woodwork, deal with radioators, etc. Removing the original flooring also turned out to be a nightmare. All this Terence took in stride and completed beautifully, rolling it into the original job. He's fantastic with the bazillion little details tha need attention. The floors are gleaming and gorgeous, and in fact, quite perfect. Terence is a true craftsman of his trade. I believe his extensive experience also serves him (and his customers!) well in dealing with the many surprises that are a certainty of any project. This is the second time I have hired Terance to do hardwood floors for me. For the first, he installed new flooring and refinished existing so that the two matched perfectly, in a glowing deep mahogony, a difficult color to pull off. People do not believe it was not all finished at the same time. I am thrilled with his work and would hire him again in a heartbeat.
