Both my wife and I thought it went very well.  Dean was very easy to talk to and offered many useful suggestions when we were unsure which direction to go in.  Unanticipated problems were encountered with the exhaust fan and a vent pipe situation that was incorrect since the house was built.  Dean was able to work through these and correct them.  Some of the sheetrock near the toilet was not in as good a condition as it should be, and so was replaced with backer board to provide a good surface for the wall tile.  The tile installation went well and looks very nice.
The entire job took somewhat longer than anticipated due to unforseen problems, but we had another bathroom we could use, so this wasn't a real hardship.  And we would rather have the contractor take a little longer to make sure the job is done right,  rather than rush through it just to get it completed on time.  This was a labor-only contract, where we picked out all of the fixtures and purchased them and had them shipped directly to our location,  where Dean installed them.  This allowed us to save some money and everybody was happy with the arrangement.
All in all, we thought Dean did a very professional job, for significantly less than the quotes we had received from larger contractors who have estimators and office staffs.  We are planning a get a new roof soon and will let Dean quote on that job also.
