1) Had a bushing replaced on a mid-sized SUV. The service didn't seem to help my squeaking issue that we were trying to solve. I had the truck into the dealer for some recall work the week after, and they happened to notice the bushing had been installed upside down. That was a quick fix, but made me wonder slightly about the quality at RMF.
2) Had spark plugs replaced on my car, which is a tricky job on a 6 cylinder Nissan. The throttle body assembly was incorrectly re-installed, and resulted in three additional trips to the garage. On the third visit it was determined that the car needed a reset to the main computer, which I was charged an additional fee for. Issue here is the throttle body shouldn't have been affected at all when properly replaced. I wish they had suggested to me that the job was tricky and I would have been better off to let a Nissan dealer perform that service.
3) Most recently, and worst of all, I had the SUV in for a routine oil change. The truck engine started ticking a few weeks after that, which I had thought was a fan belt. Turns out, it was 3 quarts low on oil. 3 quarts! I have in the last few months (after getting it refilled at a different garage) monitored and verified it does not leak or burn oil. They simply shorted the amount of oil in the truck, which could have been disastrous. I very nearly ended up with a destroyed engine on a newer, low mileage vehicle.
Would definitely recommend!
