Pat and his team were great to work with. He followed up with me several times as I worked to find the right contractor. He helped to understand the problem and develop a solid solution. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. They went the extra distance to make sure things were done right from project start through cleanup. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Pat Brewster and company are very professional, prompt, competent, and did an excellent job on my project, which had a mixture of different things that needed to be done.

Pat's team was efficient and did great work. We are very pleased with the new bay window and get lots of compliments.

Pat and his team did an outstanding job. Communication was outstanding and of particular importance as we were doing the job remotely as we live in Chicago area and house is in Hudson, WI. Pat communicated with pictures and text as well as phone calls all along the way several times a week. It as like we were there. Very rare in my experience with contractors. He understood our goals very quickly and had perfect understanding and no scope creep from him. Quality of work was great and pricing very fair. Also Pat is a fun guy to work with!

The whole project went well. We are very pleased with the quality work.

Absolutely wonderful.  I'm not sure I can recommend Pat and his crew enough.  Our old farm house was built in 1921 and over the years it has developed a host of issues.  All of the contractors that have contributed to our project have been kind, professional and creative.  That type of creativity is sometimes needed when you're dealing with an old home.  I will post more when the project is done but in the meantime if you need contracting work done I'm not sure you can or will do better than Pat Brewster and Sons.

I was very satisfied with their work. They were efficient, they did good work and they communicated well.

It went okay. He answered his phone and made a impromptu stop when I told him I was at the property now. There is an ice dam that is happening on the roof due to melting snow coming off the house and hitting front porch and freezing. He was able to tell me that when the melting snow hit the front porch it froze because the roof there was much cooler than the roof of the house. I guess what I didn't like is that I felt that he gave me not solutions other than to pay almost $400 to have it melted off the roof every time it happens. He didn't look in the attic at the insulation or anything. I wanted an option of what to do to prevent it not what to do once it happens and I never received that information from him. He did say he was going to talk to some people and get back to me, but I never heard from him. He seemed like a nice man and was professional.

Appears to be well done. Brewster went above and beyond to take care of a few current problems to prevent them from being bigger problems in the future. Appears to be an honest, reliable business.

I wanted a sun room insulated for year-round use and I also needed a solution for some problem stairs in the room.  The sun room was likely once a breezeway between the garage and kitchen that someone had enclosed.  There were clumsy and  dangerous steps between the garage door and the kitchen door.  I thought it would help to have the garage door raised level with the kitchen door and place stairs in the garage.  This still left stairs in the sun room but they would not have been so awkward.   |I am the proud owner of a most spectacular space.  My original dining room was too small and claustrophobic.  I now have a most inviting combined kitchen AND dining room.  I still plan to install an electric fireplace on the wall for ambiance and added warmth in the now large room. |I didn't mention price because it may or may not be what someone else would be willing to pay for the work completed.  The contract was followed; I paid extra where additional work was requested.

We really like them. We went to him for another project and there wasn't really a project that he could do but we did go to him first because we really like him. They were well-priced and he informs us about different material choices that we have and stuff like that.

I needed someone to fix my roof before winter arrived. Brewster and Son's were responsive and prompt in their repair.

Called Brewster and Sons (who I had a positive experience with a few years ago) and asked them to repair the damage and access the condition of the roof. That same day, someone stopped by and accessed the the damaged area (both from extent of damage and risk for further damage) and got a sample of the shingles. They took it from there.
 
They found matching shingles (original discontinued), made the repair, evaluated roof, and were gone with no hassles.They are very customer oriented and communicate very well. They let you know when they will be there and then show up when they say they will or call and reshedule if they can't make it (weather) as originally scheduled. I am impressed with there professionalism and responsiveness.

You may find some-one cheaper. I did for the re-roofing job about 6 years ago and that is why I just had the second repair done. For the level of service and quality of their work, I consider their pricing fair and competive.

Mr. Brewster and his crew replaced my roof and skylight which had been damaged by hail and wind.  They were very professional, punctual and they worked quickly, picked up after themselves, and they did beautiful work and stuck to the amount of their estimate.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Quality of the work was very good.  They treated my lean-to like it was a house someone was going to live in.  The job was also completed promptly, from a perspective of from first contact to completion as well as from the perspective of when work began to when it was finished.  The only minor blips were start time was different by a couple of hours than planned and on payment I was supposed to pay the roofer when he finished, but he didn't seem to want to handled the check so we simply mailed it.  All in all a very smooth project.  Compared to other contractors I've used (and I'm on my 3rd fixer upper house), I would say they really standout on all the important aspects of having work done.

Called Brewster & Sons and requested an estimate. Said they would be out about 2:00 P.M. next day. Showed up on time and took a piece of shingle to try to match. Call next day with quote and said they would have done by end of week. Return in two days and they took care of everything. Went the extra mile to find matching shingles (discontinued) by calling around to various yards, fixed problems, and cleaned up with out us even knowing they had been here. Work looks great and process was hassle free. I definitely would recommend and use them again if the need arises.

The experience was good. I thought they were honest and they did a good job. I felt comfortable with the price and I didn't feel like they were trying to charge more than they needed to.

I have had a section of roof needing shingle replacement for several months. After purchasing replacement shingles, I decided working on a roof was better left to someone who knew what they were doing. I called Brewster & Sons Construction based on the review in Angie's list. They called back the next day and stopped by to give me an estimate as promised. Since the job was so small and I already had matching shingles, Mr. Brewster offered to complete the repairs on the spot for a small fee. In addition to replacing the missing shingles, he also nailed down some additional loose shingles, potentially preventing additional problems.

In the middle of the night we hear a dripping in the bedroom wall. Things had warmed up for the first time this winter, so the first thought was that we had a leak from snow melting on roof. Looked up in attic crawl space and could see no water. Found a small water stain on bathroom ceiling (other side of bedroom wall). Decided to wait until morning and hope to find someone who would do weekend work. I was amazed to find that someone was willing to talk to me, much less come over on a Saturday with no notice. I had spoken with someone else, before calling Brewster, but they ended up calling me back and recommending Brewster. He showed up within an hour as promised on the phone and was conscientious about taking boots off, etc, in the house. Took the time to look around carefully both inside and out, taking measurements so as to be able to pinpoint position of leak precisely. Went up into crawl space and found a large amount of snow had collected where it had blown in through the attic vent. Removed the snow, but still climbed up on the roof to check out the vents and just to make sure that nothing else might be wrong. Found a pile of roofing nails left by construction crew - brought those down, too. So, no actual roof repair required, but problem located and remediated, and he only charged me $50 for a hour of his time on a weekend. Can't beat that.
