After deciding to replace the whole house carpeting with engineered hardwood, I visited the area's best known wood flooring dealers and got estimates. Then I heard about Dean's from an independent installer whom I had contacted in case I decided to go with something like Lumber Liquidators for the product. There was absolutely no comparison. Dean's had a wonderful product (I continue to get effusive compliments from everyone who visits my home) at a very competitive price (I bought it during a sale at an unbelievable price), a very warm, helpful designer (Christina) who ably staffs the showroom (apparently single-handedly), and a crew of perfectionist installers, which includes the owner, Dean, himself. At the time my wood was installed, Dean was in tremendous pain from a neck injury that was heading for surgery, yet he was here every day, working alongside the other installers, not just supervising. His insistence on attention to detail was remarkable. I see Dean as a throw-back to a time of artisans who took tremendous pride in their work. I have told everyone I know about him because his operation, though small, is so remarkable. They did such a fine job that I decided soon afterward to have them provide and install tile flooring in 2 bathrooms. Again, flawless experience.
