They were great for the actual moving of our household. As to packing the man that was packing was VERY slow and when his boss was not around even slower. Because of the extreme tardiness of the packer I certainly OVERPAID for the work. If you want things moved (hired muscle) they were fine but not for packing. I was clear when I was setting up the services that I wanted packing help as well, they should have been able to tell me that packing was not their thing, I would have been fine with that and altered my plans.

Three moving men moved the contents of my apartment in approximately 5 hours.  They were pleasant and very careful.  Nothing was damaged.  Very fast workers.  I moved from a second floor apartment to a first floor apartment, and they ran the steps without even breathing hard.  I was impressed, and very satisfied.  I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

I had such a positive experience with Big Franks in June 2013 (see my previous review), I wanted to ensure I could have them work for me again, so I scheduled months in advance. On this occasion, Jason, Brand, and Chris conducted the work. They unloaded a 26' moving truck and placed the boxes, items, etc. into the correct locations in my home. Then, we drove to my storage unit approximately two miles away, and they moved the items from the 10'x30' unit into the moving truck. Finally, they unloaded these items from the truck into my home.
As expected, these guys worked very hard, were professional, and were courteous to my family and belongings. I have moved many times in my life and I can honestly say that Big Franks not only sets the standard for movers in Wisconsin, but nationwide. They're a hard working group of guys who will treat you and your belongings well. Please ensure you treat them with the respect they deserve as they perform back breaking work with smiles on their faces.

After conducting research into local moving companies that could assist with my move to the East Coast, I selected Big Franks (let's face it, you can't beat the name). My experience was outstanding from the get-go. I was moving part of a 4 bedroom house (the other part was going to storage) and I needed advice. I spoke with Jason, and he educated me as to what needed to be done. His advice was outstanding and spot on. Without it, moving day would like have turned into moving days. After describing my household goods to Jason, he recommended I rent a 10' x 30' storage unit for the items not going with us and the storage unit was the perfect size. Jason then recommended the size moving truck to rent and from what company. He saved me money because he recommended I get a price match from the company from whom I rented and it saved me approximately $300!
We ended up packing the moving boxes ourselves and then had Big Franks send three guys to move the boxes into the moving truck. Big Franks sent CJ, Sam, and Brian to do the work. I can't speak highly enough about these three. They were polite, courteous, and respectful to my family and our belongings. They packed the truck perfectly, utilizing every inch of space. Upon arriving to the East Coast and unloading the moving truck, we found zero damaged items.
This is perhaps the best $325 I've ever spent. I consider the money I paid Big Franks an investment that paid immediate dividends as the advice Jason gave me regarding the move paid off immediately.
Hat's off to Big Franks, they did an outstanding job and I will recommend them to anyone I know moving locally or nationwide.

From the first time I spoke with Jason from Big Franks, I could tell that this company was the right fit for us. He was very professional and had a great attitude. My first call to Big Franks was after hours (I was expecting a call back in the morning) but Jason called me back that night and after I gave him a list of items we needed moved, he called me back within a 1/2 hr with a price.
We were only moving a couple of rooms full of bedroom furniture and some extra boxes (not a whole house move), but they were up for the job. I felt much better going with a team that was loading and delivering our furniture same day, rather than putting our items on a large truck that might have been delivered 2 or 3 weeks later.
Our situation was a little tentative, based on some issues we we having with the buyer and Jason was perfectly willing to work with our and quot;what if the date needs to changeand quot; situation. Because we were moving in the dead of winer from Wisconsin to Missouri, I knew that the weather might be an issue. It was. The snow was blizzard-like the morning of our move. The guys were late due to this, but they contacted me several times that morning to let me know their status and all-in-all, we were only off schedule about an hour.
The guys worked fast, but were extremely careful with our items. My husband was extremely impressed with how carefully they wrapped the furniture (and he's a tough one to please). They made sure they watched how the antique mirror attached to a dresser, so they could attach it properly once they got to their destination.
It was a long drive to Missouri, approx 10 hrs, so they got there later in the evening. Despite that, they set up the beds and helped my brother get an existing bed up to the third floor (which they could not figure out how to do themselves around the tight stairway). Big Franks definitely went above and beyond and we'll definitely recommend them to anyone who needs to move locally or long distances.

Moved to my new home in Appleton, had rented a UHaul and just needed someone to help move the furniture and other heavy items in. They came on Memorial Day, were on time, actually had 1 more person than I had requested, did the job fast, no damage to any furniture. They were very polite. Had everything in the correct rooms where I had asked them put them, in only a little over an hour (and this is a 4 bedroom home!) Very happy with my experience.

First, I will say that working with Big Frank's is literally one of the best service encounters I have ever had. They were on time and worked very hard. Our new house was built in 1928 and has narrow stair wells with a u-turn; they moved large furniture up and down stairs with no complaint or damage. Our furniture is nothing special, no antiques or high-end stuff, but they still proteceted everything like it was fine China. The communication for scheduling was great. The movers themselves were maybe a little rough looking, but were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed working with them and would recommend them in a heartbeat.
