BENNETT LANDSCAPING & GARDEN

In early 2014 I asked to have the three remaining areas put on the work schedule. We were told that we were first on his work schedule, heard nothing for about 2 months, only to be told later in April that he had meant after his spring work was completed. May 2014 came and went with no communication. June 2014: We contracted for a concrete patio, back area covered with black weed preventative and rocks spread. The remaining grass work would have to wait now. Communication broke down further at this time. After emailing Korey with the information we were unable to get a response from him. We very patiently waited over the summer months for word. My son continued to send emails requesting timeframes but we were told it would be on the schedule soon. August 2014 my son again emailed with a request for a work date on the patio since summer was winding down now. Korey responded with early Sept, but he would contact us closer to that date. First week of Sept. my son emailed and stated that since we do not have a date yet, we would be going out for other bids. Still no response at all from Korey. Yesterday, 9/22 I called Bennett Landscaping directly and Korey answered the phone. I was surprised by his lack of interest in talking, and asked him if he was planning to finish the work or even responding in some way. He said he assumed we had moved on. When I asked why he did not contact us with information he said he is very busy and just didn't think it was necessary. I was disappointed by his lack of apology or regret at not getting the job done. He also commented that our job was small and therefore hard to schedule. I feel we are just not a big enough ticket item that warrants completion or precious time. If we didn't initiate a communication we would not hear anything from Korey. Even then we had to try several times to get a response. This is very frustrating. We were very patient and felt we did all we could before throwing in the towel on working with Bennett. The one area of work that was done was very good quality. We really wanted to keep working with him, but now the summer is past and there was still no date for work to be done. It is time for us to move on and get work done before another winter sets in. I am very disappointed. It looked so promising to start.
