Multiple problems. Trees were not flush cut. Some stumps not ground. Damage to cast iron lawn furniture. Hinge broke on metal fence gate. Damage to lawn. Nearby trees and shrubs cut or damaged. Poor job at cleaning up.

Evidently the job was completed in the dark because some clean up was missed. They came on a day we were out of town. We weren't home so I couldn't answer the last three questions.

I needed a stump ground and wanted to use a local service (they are only about a mile from me). They have a $400 dollar minimum. They did offer a name of another individual that does stump grinding, however, he refuse to come out to this area.

Voss Treemendous Tree Service came out, provided a hand-drawn map of the lot with the tree varieties named (Silver Maple, Box Elder, Austrian Pine, Cedar, Spruce and some scrub bushes) and the price to remove each . They even tried to save us some money on the stump grinding. Another company that came out for a quote was so hesitant about the job that we didn't even go ahead with a quote from them! Voss worked quickly and safely and were done in 3 days. We are well pleased with their service and recommend them to anyone.

They did a really great job! I was really nervous about having the 2 trees removed since they were so large and my yard is very narrow without a lot of room to work. Plus both trees were very close to my house, between my garage and my neighbor's garage. But they made it seem effortless! Four guys came out to do the job, and it took them 3 days to complete. Which was one day longer than was expected, but I didn't mind. It took 2 days to remove the trees, and 1 day for stump grinding. They cleaned up very well, both my yard and my neighbor's and ndash; they even cleaned out my gutters! And hauled away all the wood, branches, and debris from the stump grinding. They took care of all the extra details like setting up with the electric company to come out before to trim the tree branches over the power lines, and to disconnect and reconnect the power to my house and my neighbor's house while they were working. Plus they were all very nice guys. I was very pleased with their service. I would recommend them to anyone with difficult tree removal needs!

The crew arrived right on time (8:00 am), Dan Voss came as he is the expert at driving the lift truck into tight spaces, and ours was very tight. We originally told them to do only one tree today and the other two later in the year when they were to come back to trim some other oak trees. The crew indicated they could do the 3 trees as they had all the equipment here and could re-schedule another job they had for the day. They did a fantastic job, cleaned up all the wood and ground the stumps on 2 of the trees. They were here about 7-12 hours. They were very efficient, with each of the 4 crewmen having a specific role. They were friendly and polite. We would use this company again and would highly recommend them to anyone requiring tree service!

I've used VOSS for several tree services over the last 5 years. I have had nothing but good experience with them and really feel that they offer value in their services. They are always less expensive when I get multiple quotes - now I don't even bother calling anyone else but VOSS when I have tree trimming or removal needs.

Irv Voss was out within two days of my email to estimate our needs. He took three detailed pages of notes on what needed to be done and what each item would cost. They were happy to work within our budget and most pressing needs (dead trees) Then to my surprise when I asked for my Angies discount I got twice that! They were already competitive with other top rated AL companies but that cinched it for me. Both Don and Irv called to confirm the date and time as it got closer, it was about three weeks from contract to cutting but that was ok as we had no emergency. While they were here their boom truck broke down and they had to leave it in our driveway overnight, they were very apologetic. They came back the next day, fixed the truck and took away all but the largest sections of the dead elm tree. They returned as promised on Friday and ground all roots and stumps and hauled away the elm. They even took away some branches that had blown down over the last year and left us as many bark chips as we could use for our beds. We will definitely use Voss again and were very happy with our experience!

I called him on Thursday and made an appointment for the next day, Friday. No one showed for the appointment or called me. I'm disappointed they didn't show.

"We showed up to give the estimate. No one answesred the door or the phone. If the customer would have been home for the apointment they would have recieved an estimate. We never recieved another call for an estimate or anything. People ditch out on estimates all the time because they have chosen another company already or they forgot. We do up to 30 estimates a day and our time is very valuable. If the customer is not home or does not answere we move on to the next. A simple phone call would have helped and we will come back to give a free estimate any time!"

Excellent. I called and he showed up the next morning before I had to work (7AM or so) to quote the job. I scheduled the job about a week out - but we were basically waiting for dry weather - he was there with a crew and they cleaned up all my trees and other messes. Invoice came promptly and I paid.

The first crew did a fine job with the trees,but the person who was to shape the bushes didn't. The company valued our opinion, came and checked on the work and made even that overgrown bush come into a well tamed shape. They even said they were pleased that we called and spoke up when the first job was not satisfactory. Wanted to emphasize that it was the owner who came to check on the bushes and do the needed trimming to make them look great! It matters to him to make sure the work is done correctly and to the customer's satisfaction. There is a lot to be said for a family owned business with integrity and good work ethic.

They came out and provided me with an estimate within days of my call. The job was not an easy one since the tree was located only feet from my neighbors home. Their estimate included tree removal, grinding out the stump and roots and clean up. Their estimate was $100-$500 less than the other 3 companies that gave me bids. It took them a lttle over a week to get back to me with a work date but when they got there they completed the job quickly and professionally.

The crew arrived after we had left for work and was finishing when we returned home. We were pleased to see how well they cleaned up. We were, however, appalled at the destruction of a 100+ year old tree (our house was built in 1882) without our written consent.
