+ 0 moreJon came same day I called to give me an estimate to replace several missing bricks on our fireplace after a remodel. We scheduled the job for several weeks out due to Thanksgiving. Jon did a great job matching the existing bricks and grout. Can't tell they were ever missing. I am very pleased with his work and would definately contact him again for any future work.

+ -1 moreJon gave estimate and did work promptly. He was courteous and professional. Near end of the project, he recognized he needed a different-shaped stone. Rather than "rush" job and install a substandard piece, he came back the next day and finished with the correct material.

Description of Work: Jon Susitti was a pleasure to work with. His work ethic and professionalism were terrific The quality of his work was excellent. Jon did the following rebuilds and repairs at our home residence: -Completely removed, rebuilt and sealed our front entrance slate entry walk and steps. It was important that the slates match the interior foyer of our home. He did a great job! -Reset a sagging rear garden block wall. -Repointed major parts of a very large raised garden fieldstone planter. -Tuckpointed and sealed two (2) chimneys

+ -1 moreOverall, it went good. He is slow to get to your project because he is busy, but he always answers the phone or returns your phone calls. He was very nice about repairing what failed, and then came back a week later and sealed the brick and mortar to make sure it didn't happen again.
Description of Work: Repaired previous tuckpointing from last year that had some failure.

+ 0 moreFantastic. They were delayed getting the project underway because we have had so much rain this spring. Once they got started, it went very quickly. I love my new walk and steps. It completely updates the house. I will use them again when I need cement or masonry work done.
Description of Work: They removed the front walk, steps and porch deck. They replaced the walk, steps and porch deck and reinforced it with rebar. I had them widen the walk from 4 feet to 5 feet. I also had them replace the grass ribbon that ran down the center of my driveway with cement. (It was always a muddy mess in spring and fall. Now it is clean.) When they were replacing the steps, they discovered the old steps did not have footings. (My home was built in 1938.) They provided footings to meet current code. They also had to replace some of the brickwork on the porch. They placed the bricks so that I truly can't tell which are the new bricks. They cleaned everything up when they were finished. They just do a great job.

+ -1 moreI was hoping to get it done before the end of November, (signed proposal was returned in Nov.) but the weather didn't cooperate. They came in early spring as promised and repaired it quickly and well. The C grade in responsiveness is just because they seem very laid back, easy to work with, and take a not a problem attitude when you call them to make sure you're on the schedule. Since it was an outside repair, it was dependent upon the weather. They reassured me that it would get done, and it did. I would highly recommend them. Good old fashioned business. No deposit down was required. Just a signed estimate saying I wanted them to do the work.
Description of Work: Repaired/Replaced damaged bricks and tuck pointed masonry stoop.

+ -1 moreJon was the first contractor to give me a written estimate. Jon did a beautiful job rebuilding the porch and patching the steps. He was prompt and professional. He cleaned up the area when he was finished working.
Description of Work: They rebuilt my brick front porch. The mortar had disintegrated and the bricks were falling away from the porch. My porch steps also needed to be patched as well as the front walk steps . He had a worker here for an entire day cleaning the old bricks so they could be re-used. (My house has was built with scratched brick, a type of brick that is no longer made.) They matched the replacement brick as closely as possible. The way he rebuilt the porch, the replacement brick is located behind 2 lilac bushes. You can't tell the brick doesn't match perfectly. For the front walk steps, he used a saw to remove the top half and reinforced the step with ribar.
