Letter D on the contract state states that the installation is subject to weather conditions. Not sure if this affected our finished product but it rained an hour after the project was “completed”. It also states the project is to be completed in a substantial and professional manner; 1. The workers were supposed to come to our house to start working on Saturday January 7, we had signed the contract with Philip on January 6. The workers showed up and rang the doorbell to announce that they were here however after they got on the ladder and saw our gutters they just left without saying anything and nobody from leaf filters reached out to explain what was happening. On Tuesday, January 10th an inspector from leaf filter showed up to our house and said he wanted to take a look at our gutters he told us we are better off getting a whole new gutter system because they are badly messed up and even offered to send us phone numbers of companies that could possibly do the work for us. The next day Wednesday the 11th, the same guys from Saturday showed up at our house again and we were confused as to what was going on. I reached out to Philip and asked why are they back if we need a whole new gutter system and I would rather invest on a project that will be permanent not temporary. He said that these guys are professional they came back with a stronger flex seal for your gutters, the company is aware of how damaged your gutters are but we are the only company that can repair them we just needed to make sure we had the right materials. And once again he ensured us 1000% that we will have no leaks and our problem will be solved. On the day we signed the contract with Philip he guaranteed us that our gutters would not leak again and solve our mold problem he even wrote this on the contract, we mentioned to him the gutters are old and damaged but he was very confident that leaf filter would solve our problems. We gave them the opportunity to install the filters. The 2 guys that came back to install the leaf filters on Wednesday the 11th, only worked until 12pm on Wednesday & Thursday. On the last day Friday the 13th when they wanted to collect the check they showed us pictures of the job and the told us they were not able to seal or install the leaf filter on the right side of the house because it as too flat and filled with cement. This is not ok because to my understanding we are being charged by the size. We called Philip and the installation Manager Leo to understand what was happening to all that we were promised on the contract. Philip once again giving us false promises told us to go ahead and pay the guys for the work and that a different team will stop by tomorrow to take a look at the right side of the house and figure out how to solve it. We then spoke to Leo, he said there was nothing we(installers) could do on the right side of the house and that there was no other team that would be coming to our house to take a look the most they can do is apply the flex seal on the right side of the house. Once this was completed we asked the “professional installers” if we could test out the gutters by using our hose to run water in them to make sure there were no leaks and they told us yes. During the test, we noticed our gutters were still leaking and we called the installation manager to tell him but instead of talking to us nicely he was rude and yelled at us for having put water in the gutters we told him his guys told us we could do so and brought up that it was going to rain soon so why would they work and apply sealant on a day when it's going to rain badly and he just told us to talk to Philip. On your website, you are stating that you do not install on a faulty gutter system and as per your own company’s inspector our gutter system was very faulty and needed to be replaced not patched. If anything the company was supposed to replace our gutters and then install the leaf filter. We are currently still experiencing leaks in our gutters and are not happy with the service and finished project we received. We were pressured to give the contractors the check for an unfinished project because Philip was telling me he would have to drive out here himself to personally collect the check, felt a bit aggressive and threatening to me, so I handed the check over to the workers. I’m not sure what needs to be done for us to get the service we paid for properly completed if not I'm going to be requesting a refund and disputing this with my bank.

A very good sales rep sold me their leaf filter system. I paid in full that day, they came and installed the next day which was February 27, 2020 When they do the install, they are supposed to clean and seal all gutters before they install the tops. They did not seal them well. Right now the snow is melting off my roof into the gutters and dripping through a joint on a corner onto my front entry steps. It is a lot of water. When the temperature is just right, my steps completely ice over and someone will eventually slip and get hurt. I texted my rep on 3-2-20, 3-19-20, 8-27-20, 12-23-20, 3-9-21 about this problem. Each time he said they will be there next day or very soon to reseal the joints. No one ever shows up or responds. I want my money back. If someone gets hurt on my steps, it will be a bad day for them. This is not a business you can depend on.

Horrible experience. Stay away from LeafFilter. Salesman came out. Quoted $8000. We said price was ridiculous, then he immediately halved his quote to around $4000. Sleazy. Guys came out to install gutter guards. Left screws and debris all around the house and on the roof. Discarded leaves and dirt from inside gutter by just throwing it down off the ladder onto our bushes. Come to find out after crew had left that they installed wrong color gutter guard (white instead of tan). Even damaged a portion of our roof. Customer service and owner won’t return calls or answer phone. Salesman no where to be found. We’ve done a lot of work with contractors over the years, but this is a new one. STAY AWAY.

Totally Unprofessional worker, they don't have any vehicle, no identification at all, all in street clothes and no right tools with them, the used my hose to clean up their power drills, totally unprepared to work. The work they did was really awful, they didn't even clean up after the work, nails and other materials were left for my car to just run into. They asked for water and to use my bathroom, they were just very unprofessional, they didn't have any foreman, nor supervisor with them and zero identification at all. They even left a grease spot on my brand new driveway, which I don't appreciate at all. They provide wrong information, and they are bunch of liars, they mentioned that it will a very professional installation crew but it wasn't. They didn't even introduced themselves properly in the beginning. Their ratings on the website is all not true.

To begin with I have waited over 1 year to write this review because I wanted to see how the Filters worked over all seasons. I equate buying gutter covers to buying a new car, you always feel you could have done better price wise. In my case, Don came out and gave me an estimate for the job. We then started haggling and several different discounts and coupons were given, but the bottom line was we had to sign up for the job immediately or the price couldn't be honored (I know, a high pressure tactic). We did accept the bid which was at a considerable discount from where we started but again you never know with high pressure salesmen. At the time of the quote we were very explicit about the operation of this system in keeping our roof clear because my wife did not want me on the roof anymore. Don insured us that the system was 100% effective in removing debris. I asked specifically if they had their own installers and was told yes. We also went over the warrantee in detail as well as ice damming problems. The installers arrived on time however they came in an unmarked vehicle so I asked them if they worked only for Leaf Filter and he said they always installed their product. I asked if they were subcontractors and he said no. There were two installers, one younger and one older gentleman. Of the two, the younger guy did a much better job. The older guy blew out all of the gutters however he didn't clean out the shingle particles from the gutters like promised nor clean out the downspouts that had leaves in them. I questioned the older gentleman about this and he began to wipe out the gutters with a cloth while I was looking. The job was finished and they left before I had completely inspected the project. Shortly after leaving I discovered that they had missed one short section so I called the salesman and he arranged to have the installers come back. He apologized for missing this, installed the section but he had to completely disassemble the downspout to clear out the clogged leaves inside. They then left. The system seemed to work like designed for the remaining leaves in the fall. However, because I have a low sloped roof, one of the concerns I brought up with the salesman was Ice dams from snow buildup during the winter. I was assured that nothing would stick to their product. We had a lot of snow early in the season and guess what, I did get Ice dams on some sections of the roof. They were not as thick as I had experienced in the past, but they were still there. In the spring and summer of 2017, I noticed that we were getting a buildup of tree litter sticking to the filter. I called customer service and they dispatched someone to blow off my filters. I had to have this done around 4 times from spring to late summer and fall as leaves, pine needles and shingle debris were constantly building up causing water to flow over the gutters during rain storms. I do have to say that the different technicians that were sent out from Hartland were always VERY prompt, nice, answered all questions, and helpful. This fall I finally got out a ladder and cleaned off the black mixture on the screen and inspected the rear section of the house that was the worst. I could see that this section caught debris because it had been installed wrong in that it sloped back down from the front to the the back, creating a gully next to the house. Another repairman was sent to fix this problem. He had to completely remove the underlying frame pieces and reinstall them providing a positive slope to allow debris to fall off. He also recaulked the old holes from the 1st installation. Again he was extremely nice about doing the repairs. Hopefully the system will work as advertised now. The rating would have been lower had it not been for the service received after the initial installation. Bottom line - Cons: Cost high, initial installation questionable, it does ice dam, within one year the filters do retain material on them. Pros: Very helpful servicemen that respond quickly and remedy your problems

Work was completed on time. Actually took only about 2 hours to complete the whole job. Was considering Leaf Guard, but on-line research revealed that bees can get into the system and clog it up with nest building. Leaf Guard also replaces the gutters which adds to cost. My gutters were in decent shape. Being that LeafFilter didn't have to replace the gutters, I thought the $2534 was a bit steep.

Installation was fine although they said it would take one day and it took 2.  We paid the full amount of quote prior to installation because we were not going to be home for the few hours we were told the installation would take on the following day.  As it turned out, we could have paid at the end as we had requested since we were both home at the time of completion.  
Our complaint comes from a phone call from the sales person after completion to inform us there was an additional $900+ required which he had authorized without our consent or any discussion with us.  When told that we would not pay, his comment was "My manager may just have to put a contractor lien on your home."  I warned him that this would be foolish since he had in our possession a signed contract showing "Paid in Full"

Without going into great detail . I feel that they are a dishonest company , The prices vary on the same exact job , depending how well you can negotiate the price down . The salesman also said they do not use Sub Contractors , but that was not true , when they came to do the job they said they were Sub Contracted . Prior to hiring them , we checked out different systems and it looked like this was a good system if properly installed , still out on how well it will function , waiting to see how it goes thru the winter . However the installation was terrible , they came back to fix some issues , but parts of the fix were worse than it was the first time . He also removed a big chunk of caulk from under my shingles in one corner , they are not suppose to disturb the shingles . I felt the supervisor that came to check the job the first time was very defensive . In spite of whether or not the product is good , I would never recommend them , due to their poor work ethics . Below are some pictures . The screen is suppose to be flat , the corners are not suppose to be caulked , after the cane and replace only the screen and not the whole panel you can see the sloppy caulking job , also the 45 degree angles did not look good to me , but the supervisor said you couldn't better corner than that , REALLY !

I was sold as soon as I looked at the product and found out they did not need to break the seal on my new roof to install them. I was a bit surprised that neither the sales rep or the installer were driving a company vehicle or had a uniform, they did have ID though. The work was done professionally and the cost was reasonable. They were willing to haggle a bit so remember that and paying by check instead of financing got me another discount.

Installation was to occur within a couple of days from purchase, but cancelled due to the weather, Was told they would call to reschedule, Weeks went by until I called the company and was assured they would have someone call. Again weeks went by. I called the salesman who got right on it and said that somehow my paper work had gotten misplaced. The workers were here within a few days. Did not have rain for awhile, but when did, noticed leaking between the house and gutter in a few spots. Called the company and they did send someone out within a few days. Wayne discovered that the run off from the roof was directed to the back of the gutter and was causing the leaking and that a few of the screws had not been sealed. He stated, "they tried to do it right....might not have had the supplies they needed." He did the repairs in a very efficient manner. I called the regional manager, Dan Dancing who was "not understanding my concerns and said, "it's fixed now, right....that's all we can do." Never did he apologize for any of the "delays" and other concerns. I was very unhappy with the disregard of my concerns. I can't believe that the job wasn't done correctly the first time and I was not notified of "the lack of supplies, or whatever. I hope no one else has to experience this and especially have to talk to the regional manger, who was very condescending. He would not give me an answer as to why they left this work as finished and acceptable, until I called to complain. Had I never mentioned it, they would have just charged me short of $5000 for a job, they "tried to do right." Since the repairs, it rained again and one of the gutters that was fixed is leaking worse than it was before! I left a message with my original salesperson to call me again, but am still waiting and VERY UNHAPPY with the service. The price for the amount of work they did was overpriced anyway, but I saw it as an investment in my home. If I would have known the work would not be backed up I would have hired someone to clean the gutters for the next 50 years for what I paid them instead!! I feel like they ripped me off because I am an older widowed woman who they could take advantage of...and DID!
