EXCLUSIVE FLOOR INSTALLATION

The work looked good but the shower floor failed after about two years. This ruined my kitchen ceiling. When I had them come back they said I should just caulk the base and it would be OK. I had another contractor look at it and he showed me how the base had separated and the tiles were falling off. Water poured right thru to the kitchen below. Further attempt to get them to correct the problem were met with hang-ups and eventually they called the police to report harrassment. It cost $4000 to have the work redone correctly. On tear-out I was shown where the install was done wrong and where mold had formed. It cost another $800 to fix my kitchen ceiling. This guy is a ripoff artist who mocked us and dared us to sue him, saying he'd been sued before and nothing could happen to him. Charlie Burns was the owner. Do not let this guy near your home.

A flooring supplier recommended Charlie. On a Thursday, I made an appointment with him for 6:30 PM on Monday. We each agreed to notify the other if anything came up. At 5:00 he called to say he'd be 45 minutes later, 7:15. By 8:00, he still hadn't arrived, so I called his cell phone. He didn't answer, so I left a message for him to call me. I didn't hear from him by a couple of days later, so I called the flooring supplier who said this was very unusual and probably there was something wrong. I called Charlie again and left another message saying if he was interested in the job, please call me, and if he didn't want the job, please call me. He never called.

APPARENTLY, THE MANUFACTURER NO LONGER ENGINEERS MY FLOOR THE SAME WAY. I GAVE THEM PLANKS BACK IN JANUARY OR EARLY FEBRUARY TO SEE IF THEY COULD DO THE WORK CORRECTLY. NOW, I CANT GET THEM TO CALL ME BACK. WHENEVER I CALL HIM, AS SOON AS HE FINDS OUT ITS ME, HE SLAMS THE PHONE DOWN. HE SAID THAT I CALLED HIM A LIAR, WHICH I DIDNT. I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO MAKE ANGIES LIST AWARE OF THIS, AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE DIDNT APPRECIATE BEING THREATENED. I HAVE OFFERED TO COME AND GET THE PLANKS, AND IVE PLACED OVER 30 CALLS, RESULTING IN VOICE MAIL MESSAGES, AND HE STILL WONT GET BACK WITH ME.
