Stephan and his crew showed up when expected and worked hard and fast. They used the type of paint requested. They were the most polite and courteous group of workers I ever hired. No bad language and very nice to the children. I would only caution that you may want to be very explicit about filling in all knot holes and cracks. Most of the cracks were caulked, however the knot holes were somewhat overlooked. Address this when they quote and I'm sure they will do a great job.
Description of Work: Primed and stained exterior cedar siding.

KNOT HOLES ARE A NATURAL PROBLEM FOR ANYONE WHO HAS CEDAR SIDING BOARDS. SINCE THE KNOT HOLES HAVE A DIFFERENT DENSITY COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE SIDING BOARD, THEY EXPAND AND CONTRACT (WITH THE WEATHER) AT A DIFFERENT RATE. THIS DIFFERENT RATE OF EXPANSION/CONTRACTION CAUSES THEM TO CRACK EARLIER AND/OR FALL OUT OF THE BOARD. SINCE THERE IS NO STOPPING THIS NATURAL PROCESS, IT IS BEST TO REPLACE THE BOARD(S) WHERE THIS IS TAKING PLACE RATHER THAN SPEND MONEY ON THE SIGNIFICANT COST OF LABOR/MATERIALS TO CAULK ALL THE KNOT HOLES ON AN ENTIRE HOUSE. I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY FURTHER INQUIRIES REGARDING THE PROPER PREP WORK FOR CEDAR SIDING BOARDS.
