Invasion of Privacy and Damage to Furniture: The purchase of the machine went smoothly. We had used Ritzman Appliance before to purchase our dryer. The delivery men arrived on time and were polite and the installation went quickly. As they were getting ready to leave, one of the men told me how “difficult” it was to level the machine. “We used shims to level it.” I paid them for their services and they left. I went to check the machine and that is when I noticed the shims they had used. One, or both of the men, had taken it upon themselves to go into our PRIVATE STORAGE area (which is in a completely separate area of the basement) use two pieces of finished wood (for our children’s bunk beds) and use them as shims. They DID NOT have permission to go into this area of our basement and DID NOT have permission to use this wood. I was home the entire time and told them I would be available if they had any questions. I removed the “shims” immediately and saw they were now damaged. I called the store immediately and was met with the response of “What do you want me to do about it? They were just trying to be nice. They could have left you high and dry and told you to level it yourself.” I attempted to drive the point home that these men DID NOT have our permission to rummage through our things and use pieces of our furniture. The man I spoke to brought up his “men’s excellent reviews online.” I could not seem to get him to understand the irrelevancy of this, as I was calling about our particular experience. We will not be using Ritzman Appliances again and will be rescinding our recommendations we have made to our family and friends. We understand mistakes can be made. It was the response, or lack thereof ,to our concerns that will prevent us from shopping here again.

Ritzman's was recommended to me by 3 different reputable parties. I had read some negative reviews online so I didn't expect the delivery folks to be outgoing and friendly. I called the Ritzman office when I found my old Maytag washer couldn't be repaired due to a costly transmission failure. I had also gone online the day before and checked out their website to see the selection and prices and had measured the old washer area at home to make certain that it would fit. Two parties had recommended a Speed Queen for durability and reliability so I had the model number available and asked how long it would take to deliver such a purchase. Fortunately he said they would be in the neighborhood that morning and had the washer in stock. I was delighted. He said they could be there within an hour or so. The weather was a bit inclement so it was about a half hour longer. The delivery men arrived and were very quiet and withdrawn, but they set to work assessing the situation and what needed to be done. They were very efficient in preparing the area. I had forgotten to ask if they would remove the old washer and they said they could if I wanted it done. So they removed the old washer and installed the new one. Keep in mind they had little clearance at the back door and had a flight of narrow basement steps to navigate. The walls and door did not appear to be scratched or significantly dented in any way when I examined them afterwards. I kept checking on the process to make sure the plumbing etc. was adequate for their use in the installation. Fortunately it was. They were done in about 15 minutes and instructed me on the basics of the washing machine. I had a little clean up afterwards with some installation litter and light mopping due to the weather but nothing problematic. I was happy overall and the machine worked just great when I used it later that evening. I look forward to future purchases. The cost indicated above included delivery, installation of new washer and removal of defunct washer, which was reasonable. I was glad I didn't have to wait a week for delivery as many other vendors require.

They advised me on what to do to check the problem and see if the problem could be fixed, which was nice. I picked out a new dishwasher and by monday morning they delivered and installed. They used the company MR Installation who were excellent. What's always nice about Ritzmen, they deliver within the (2) hour timeframe promised, which is important because it is a smaller window of time.

The company was great to work with. We were really pleased with the service. When the kitchen was re-done we didnt replace the dishwasher and then it needed a repair . He came out in 3 hours with a new dishwasher. The service is excellent and they are professional.

I had gotten their name from Angie's List. I went there and explained my situation. I was having some remodelers come in and I wanted to know what the soonest was that they could come. I was there on Wednesday and they were booked on Thursday and I had to work on Friday, so the owner offered to come that same day. He got his father to come with him and they were nice enough to call before they came so I would not have to have the food sitting out for very long. They were in and out very quickly, and they were very respctful about not bumping into anything. They did not charge to remove the old refirgerator, and they were very accomodating in removing and replacing my door. I was very happy with them and would absolutely use them again.
