Swan electrical systems

I initially chose Swan Electrical Systems from the reviews on Angie's List. Of importance, besides the obvious, was an ability to seamlessly blend old with new spackle on a textured ceiling. Jason had that opportunity with my project, and he did not disappoint me. This is the first of several times I hired Jason with Swan Electrical Systems. I like his small business approach. Between he and helper Matt, nothing gets lost in translation. With Jason on premise coordinating and also doing the work, recommendations/changes can be made and implemented without "calling the office." I like that he is approachable, knowledgeable, and flexible. He educated me on the differences of light distribution between recessed lighting versus fixture lighting. He made suggestions while on site, and was willing to make a box store run during break, for parts. Example: I had a three switch plate in the great room that had two rockers and one dial switch. Through his knowledge he was able to propose and change all three to slides (one of which controls the speed of our ceiling fan ~ yea, no more remote!); aesthetically it looks so much better. My sister hired Jason through my recommendation, and was pleased with his work as well. Jason and I even "coordinated" a surprise recessed light installation, during her project, as a birthday present.

We hired Jason because he impressed us on our Aug 2015 project. For years we had issues with mold growing on the interior ceiling corners of our master bath. About 5 years ago we hired a competitor to switch out the shower light for another exhaust fan hoping two in the master would solve the mold issue. It was fruitless.  Jason was the only one who put two and two together ~ the exhaust from the hall bath was being sucked into the master thru the attic tubing they shared. Armed with that input, we hired him to create a separate hall bath vent to the exterior of our home.  It has been 5 months, and to date, we have not seen any additional mold.

We opted for incandescent  on the exterior of our home as an addition to 6 already in place.  Jason suggested switching them all to enclosed led which would have kept bugs out of the housing, eliminate loss of luminosity during extreme cold, and offer a dimmable feature.  While all that sounded awesome, it would have removed the option of changing the bulb to a colored one (s) for holiday decorating. 

I have already contacted Jason for a third project…..switching 3 ceiling incandescent fixtures in the garage to LED ceiling flush mounts.  Jason is a busy guy, but worth the wait.
