Badger Hardwood Flooring Co

I had water damage in my house and filed an Insurance Claim. I contacted a Contractor that I hired in the past to do home remolding and they were fantastic. My Hardware floors needed sanding, staining and varnishing, My Contractor did not do this type of work, so he subbed it out to Badger Hardwood Flooring. Badger Flooring came out. The employee showed me two stains, I picked one. I asked about varnishing and they stated it was not necessary. I stated the original Floors were varnished before and that is want I wanted. They assured me it was not necessary. When they left and the floors dried. I did not like the floors without varnish. I also noticed that the areas next to the wall boards were lighter than the floor. My Insurance Company had paid for this work. I eventually contacted another Flooring Company and before I had them varnish my floors at my own expense, I contacted Dan (the owner) at Badger. Within 30 seconds of the conversation, he was extremely rude and even called me a Lair. After a few minutes, I told him I would not be talked to like that and hung up. I had the floors varnished and was completely satisfied. BUT again, this was something I had to pay for out of my own pocket ---$600.00--- as the Insurance claim had already been settled. I contacted my Original Contractor. I explained the situation. He paid me my out of pocket expense for the varnishing as he stated that he was the one I initially hired. Which I was extremely appreciated and grateful. I worked for 33 years as an Insurance Underwriter. If had ever talked to a customer as Dan, the owner, had spoken to me, I would have been fired. I will NEVER work with or recommend Badger Hardwood Floors. Not only was the work terrible but no customer deserves to be spoken to as I was. What really astounded me was it was the owner that I was dealing with. NEVER, NEVER would I EVER use this Company again.

I recently moved to the Fox Cities area and had one week between the time that I closed on my new house to when the moving truck would arrive with all my belongings to get the floors done.  I selected Badger Hardwood Flooring based on: 1) information provided on their website, 2) the speed with which they returned my original call, and 3) their ability to work with my time constraints.  It wasn't much to go on - and I was fully prepared to receive less than great service -- but I was truly delighted with their work.  They came when they said they would, finished well within the specified time frame, were able to accommodate a last minute request (a sound buffering pad under one of the new floors) on my part, and gave me beautiful floors.  REALLY beautiful floors.  The floors, an aspect many people overlook when they are remodeling, make the whole house look lovely.  I would recommend Badger Hardwood Flooring to everyone.

Did not explain the different types of finish. Had a few boards crack
after install. Lighter areas on the sides of room. Was told they have
never seen that before. ????  Made a cut into molding entering the
Living Room, patched with putty! Looked like a "rookie crew" for initial install, and a more experienced crew on the second visit.

They were on time and did what they were supposed to do when they said they would do it. These are 75 year old hardwood floors and they look great. I would highly recomend the dustless system if you intend to live in the house while the floors are refinished.

This company installed the original hardwood flloors 9 years earlier.  I was happy with the service 9 years ago but the quality of their service has gone way down.  I had to have them come back two times and was not treated well by the company.  They expected me to move my own furniture both times even though the poor quality of the finish was their fault.  There was sloppy work and now I have creaky floors in my bedroom.  I am still not happy with the floors but will have to live with them.  I will never use Badger Flooring again!
