I also buy many of my flowers from them. I like dealing with local companies. At Bluemel's they are friendly and appreciate your business.

The foreman promised to make it right in the spring. by springtime he no longer worked there and a new guy did a poor job of fixing the issues. tried leaving more voicemails to discuss further and no returned calls.
avoid this company.
Update 8/18/2013: Many of the flowers in the front garden that were installed by Blumel's started tipping and ripping out under the weigh of some blooms. I finally pulled the mulch away from over 30 perennials in the front garden and discovered they were installed with holes no larger than the original root balls, the top 20-30% of the root ball was exposed above the soil level, and in most cases they just pushed mulch and clay around the plants. I had to basically replant all of them properly by digging holes and amending with good garden soil. Do not hire this company if you want a proper plant installation. I had to spend a lot of time fixing what should have been done right to begin with.
Weed Barrier was NOT installed in the berms and they were not even cleaned as stated in our contract. Even the weed barrier was poorly installed around the home, large staples could be seen sticking out and large gaps were apparent.
The only bright spot (and it's not without complications) is the garden wall was installed properly and level. The issue was some areas were lacking a few bricks. After visiting Bluemel's, they said it was the end of the season and they "RAN OUT" of that style/color. We had to come back next year to pick up some replacements that did not even match the materials used (and we had to PAY for those, even with the admission that they ran out)
Top soil for grading was an improvement, but not perfect. Mulch was fine, but it's just mulch.
Did a poor job of trimming bush, did not replace/split hosta's.
Did not add flagstone on patio.
The slab was not installed, I contacted Ken and they dropped a big slab of stone on the lawn. I still had to do the installation myself.
It was an awful experience for the amount of money we paid. We had a contract of the items that were to be completed and half of those were met. It was a pretty big disappointment. I feel it was a rushed job because it was so late in the season. I called countless times, leaving messages for anyone and everyone at Bluemel's. Not once was a call returned to address my complaints. I figure, they received my money so no need to do any sort of customer satisfaction. Even when I were to stop by, no manager was ever there to help. I do not recommend large landscape jobs with them and never plan to shop there again.
