Our salesperson spent a lot of time making sure we found exactly the sofa we were looking for so it was comfortable for both my husband and I. She assisted in picking out the fabric and custom pillow choice. Delivery went off without a hitch. Delivered on time and very efficiently.

Be aware that there are absolutely NO returns or any exchanges on mattresses, PERIOD. Ask. This is kind of b.s. Their reasoning, coming back with bed bugs? The mattress we bought we do like, however, I'm not a fan of this policy at all. Steinhafel's for example allows the returns and exchanges ONE-TIME, except they'll charge you like many others will.

The reason we do our sales as final sales is for sanitary, health and safety reasons. The mattress companies do NOT take back mattresses if you do not like how it feels but only if there is a legitimate warranty concern which we will honor when necessary. When buying a mattress from our competitors that offer a return policy, they will take the mattress back for a charge (limitations & restrictions could apply) and will put it either back into their inventory or in their clearance center marked as a "floor sample." You are at a risk at possibly buying a used mattress and in this day and age of allergens, bed bugs, etc. we can't put our customers at risk. My husband and I started doing our first "adult" (aka non-Ikea / craigslist) furniture shopping at BUILTRITE several years ago. Our first purchase was a phenomenal Amish made bedroom set that we have loved. Seven years later and it is still in gorgeous condition and the drawers all slide smoothly. Most recently, we went in and both Randi (owner) and a sales person helped us figure out how to make our living room pop with the right end tables. BUILTRITE knows it's furniture makers and truly caters to the Milwaukee area offering small scale furniture which fits perfectly into our sweet Cape Cod home. For the recliner in our living room, we were able to pick out the perfect fabric and it was made in the USA, so we don't worry about creepy chemicals inside as much. A friend of ours was eyeing up a sofa set at Crate&Barrel. She took a picture of the set into BUILTRITE and they were able to find a very similar set and have it special made for her in the exact fabric she wanted, and for considerably less money than Crate&Barrel or similar stores charge. It went great! Randi is so helpful. Her suggestions were perfect. She is so much fun to work with. Overall everyone there is good to work with. We have purchased so much over the last few years and everything has always been great. My mom also purchased a whole apartment of furniture a year or so ago and she couldn't be more pleased.

Bought an Amish dining room set on Saturday(11/21/15) with my daughter, Tom was our sale person. It will be 8 up to 12 weeks before receiving and maybe a little longer because of the holidays.I am writing because of the time and service we received throughout the process. We actually were there a week earlier. Both days they went out of there way to help us get exactly what we wanted. Tom, Randi and Gail helped with info and education with our purchase. There is a lot of choices and decisions to make when ordering Amish furniture. I am not going to say I understood everything,(lot of paperwork) but we did order exactly what we wanted, a true Amish built dining room set made in America by real Amish family who take the raw materials God supplies them and create living, timeless works of art. Go and see there showroom floor. Yes it is not cheap but I did enough shopping to know that buying from Biltrite gave me the best value for my money. I also believe them when they said they will make sure everything will go great and if there is an issue they will make it right. Family store with 5 star service. Thank you and will review again after I got my furniture.

Delivery went perfect. Guys were prompt, professional and really took care with respecting my home and my new amish dining room set. Got in 10 weeks which was about what they thought because of the holiday. The dining room set is unbelievable. I am really without words. The showroom is pretty incredible but when its in your home, well I didn't think I was going to be so blown away but I truly am.
They did a great job keeping me informed as the time got near. Best part they are true to there word.
Small thing on 1 chair. Within 5 minutes they took a picture and the owner was on the phone resolving it to my complete satisfaction. What a classy outfit. Will be back!!!!!

I have purchased several items from Biltrite over the past few years. I have never been disappointed. At one time, I would travel all over the city trying to find an item...now, I just go to Biltrite and if they don't have it, in many cases, they will have it custom made. Their prices can't be beat and the quality of their furniture surpasses all others.

I LOVE BILT RITE AND GAIL!!! I have purchased my sofa, end tables, coffee table, bedroom set, mattress, entertainment console, oak desk, recliner, and much more over the past 5 years...and it is all still amazing and high quality! I'm going to finish my entire house with BILT RITE furniture. I also cannot say enough about Gail, our sales woman and third generation owner of the store. She is amazing and it feels like visiting a friend every time I go to the store! I highly recommend BILT RITE for everything!!!

We purchased a custom sectional for our rec room. There was some concern over whether one of the larger pieces would fit in our stairwell and doorway. They came out to measure! Totally unexpected, but saved us a huge headache down the line. I have made many purchases from their store and found them to be helpful and responsive.

They made a delivery to our house. Only part of the furniture was in the house and they were have great trouble getting it in. The delivery driver said that he thought that there wouldn't be a problem taking it back. They told me that because it was already in the house that they couldn't take it back. I told them that when I had purchased it that I did not want it if it did not fit in the house. They assured me that it came apart and that it would fit in the house. When they delivered it they had it apart and they still had difficulty bringing the parts in. They told me that they would come and measure first and they never did that.

You purchased a reclining sofa that is designed to come apart for tight delivery situations (ie: second floors, basements, attics and any other tight spaces) with no additional fee as it is an easy take-apart. Had you purchased a stationary sofa designed to come apart, we would have had to come out to measure, which other stores do not offer or do as a courtesy (had the stationary sofa needed to be taken apart, there would have been a fee involved). For being a locally and family owned business for over 85 years, we understand Milwaukee-area homes and their layouts and therefore we offer courtesies to our customers that other stores do not. We'd recently moved from out-of-state and went to Biltrite to purchase two sets of bedding- king and full. We knew exactly what we wanted. Both sets were in stock so we set up delivery. The store called us the day before delivery to let us know the window of time in which the bedding would be delivered, and it was delivered inside of that window. The delivery guys set up both beds on frames after inquiring where we would like the beds placed. We had a great experience at Biltrite and would absolutely shop there again for our future furniture purchases.

The process from start to finish was flawless. Our salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. She was able to answer all of our questions as well as make recommendations based on the information we gave to her. The furniture came in within the time parameter in which she said it would arrive, and it was delivered two days later.
The two delivery guys were great! They were both professional and courteous and took their time bringing the furniture into our condo unit. A couple of the pieces were quite large, but they took their time and were able to deliver and set them up in the bedroom without issue.
We will definitely be returning to Biltrite for future furniture purchases. We had a great experience!

Team arrived at start of window of time for delivery, and were exceptionally skilled in getting the set up narrow stairway without damage to walls. It was a rainy day and they used throws to prevent tracking moisture through carpeted areas. Earlier this year, I had purchased custom upholstered chairs through Biltrite - they turned out beautifully, arrived within expected timeframe, and are wonderful quality. I highly recommend Biltrite for their quality, professionalism, and service.

Great. The sales person did not pressure me to purchase a high end mattress, and even recommended I forgo a mattress that was more expensive based on my needs. The delivery folks were great - they were the same people who delivered by dining room table a year earlier. The bed and mattress arrived two weeks earlier then promises, which was great!

It is the most expensive piece of furniture that I own and I love it. I really do. It was ready made but they ordered it and it is custom made by the community of Amish people. The people who delivered it, I do not know if they were their own delivery people but they were so cautious about the table and we have hardwood floors. They were wonderful. They put down blankets ahead, adjusted everything and did a really nice job with it. Price wise custom made tables are not cheap and to be honest I did not check them compared to anybody else. I heard from other people that we got a good price but I can't verify that. I don't know, but I looked at couple of other things and we ended up not purchasing just because the cost of the table, we could not do it. I felt their cost was not very average, they were terribly above or below than anyone else. Quality wise this table is amazing. This is the only piece of furniture that I ever purchased that I just love. Someday my children will fight over it. It is a kitchen table made out of oak and it is hand rubbed, it is heavy and beautiful. It is probably too big for the space I have but I don't care.

From the minute I walked through the door until the loveseat was delivered, BILTRITE did everything right.Everyone was genuinely interested in making sure I purchased what I wanted.

They advertise a lot on TV. They are good. In fact I have used them again already. I went back and got an end table. They were already assembled. It looked good and did not have any scratches or anything. The workers were able to answer my questions.

The sales experience was fine. Since we weren't financing they gave us an extra 5% off. We agreed that I would pay a certain amount down at the showroom and pay the rest when the materials were delivered. My complaint with the company is that they charged my card without my knowledge or consent for the balance of the furniture. They never called to notify me that they were charging it and never asked me to come in and pay the balance. When I called them about it they asked me how I expected to get the furniture if I hadn't paid for it and I explained to them that I didn't expect to get the table for 'free' and had every intention to pay for it, but my feeling is that if they charge my card without my consent, they are stealing from me. If I had used a debit card and didn't have enough money to cover it, I would have had an overdraft fee. I asked them if they do this often and the lady did not give me an answer. All I would have asked for was a quick phone call from them or at least some sort of communication.

The experience in the showroom was great. The salesman seemed helpful. He originally told me that the sofa would take 5 weeks to get in. It took about 20 weeks for it to actually arrive due to a fabric issue. During that time, I called and asked to speak to the salesman regarding the delay of my order, but basically I found out that the salesman just sells stuff, he doesn't have any responsibility for follow up at the store. Although the lady in the office was keeping track of things, I felt like a salesman who wants to maintain a good working relationship with his customer, he should have called me himself and done something to make it up to me. This did not happen.

I was pleased with the overall experience. It just so happens that I live in the area where they were delivering the next day, so I was able to buy the beds on a Wednesday night and have them delivered on Thursday. They arrived and had the beds set-up in very little time. No issues or hassles.
