At J&B Heating and Air Conditioning, our mission is to ensure the comfort of you and your family. We have brought the best in comfort control to South Eastern Wisconsin and excel at providing our customers with highly efficient, reliable and affordable heating, air conditioning and indoor air quality products. Our extensive residential and HVAC experience in Wisconsin has allowed us to identify the heating and air conditioning solutions which stand out from the rest. At J&B Heating and Air Conditioning we insist that the products we install in our customers' homes and offer the same performance and value we expect ourselves. J & B Heating and Air Conditioning is a locally owned and operated business that has been doing business for almost 50 years! We pride ourselves in our employees. Our technicians and installers are state certified and fully trained. Ongoing training is required of everyone to keep them up to date on the latest equipment. They take pride in a job well done and know that you take pride in your home so they wear booties and gloves when servicing or installing equipment as well as using carpet runners for installations and duct cleanings. Not good. Our furnace was sounding very loud, so we scheduled a tune-up and cleaning. The unit was only 5 year old. Was told the noise was from a bad motor. Surprised the motor would be bad after only 5 years. Also told the burners were rusted and should be replaced. They replaced the motor and burners. In less than a month, the furnace was very loud again. I called, and was told a technician would call me back. I waited about 2-3 business days. No one called. I called back. They scheduled the same technician to return. This time he did more testing and determined the furnace needed to be replaced. We paid over $900 for the repairs, but they would only give us a $500 credit towards a new furnace.

Called for an estimate for central air installation. Very professional and prompt from the start. 3 different options presented to fit our budget. We didn't feel pressured to purchase one unit over the other. On the day of installation, arrived on time and very pleasant. The person who gave us the quote was also on site to make sure the crew followed his plan to run additional duct work into our upstairs area. Ended up taking a little longer than expected to install, but that was anticipated by us given the age of our home (we watch enough home improvement shows to know once you get in there to fix something on an older home, there are usually a few challenges). Cleaned up after themselves and left our home in the condition it was in to start with. Very pleased with the work from beginning to end!

They arrived on time and were finished rather quickly. They did a very professional job. I appreciated the attention to detail they had. For example, running the drainage line to the floor drain. They could have just laid it there, but they took the time to strap it to the back wall and then zip tie it to the floor drain so it was out of the way and could not be accidentally kicked from the drain.

Scare tactics were used to try to get me to replace my furnace. In the same breath as the gloom and doom advise was the "by the way there are rebates offered right now," sales pitch. I reminded the serviceman that their company had done the previous inspection a year earlier with no such dire warnings. His response was to deny they had been to the home before. Later found the receipt from the previous year and a request for a call back went unanswered. I got a second opinion from another company with good ratings on Angie's, and a referral from a neighbor, no more gloom and doom. This lack of response reminded me that the previous year they had not responded to my request for more information about replacing the old electronic air cleaning system. That was not a deal breaker but not responding to an inquiry about the "OMG it's gonna blow!" nonsense was inexcusable. We are going to replace our heating and A/C this year but this company will not be getting so much as a whiff of the business. That is the best way I know of expressing my displeasure, that and my entry here.

I have been very satisfied with them. The workers were very good; they were very up front and professional. The individual that I had come out has worked with the company for many years. I will continue to use them for future service and even took out a contract for a year for service for my furnace and air conditioner. The approximate cost breaks down to $54.95 for the tune up and then $75.60 for the freon (they had to put quiet a lot in and informed me that the price has gone up). The cost was discounted because of the contract that I signed.

The great experience starts with the woman who answers the phone. She is always cheerful and helpful. I had no heat and Rich was able to come out the same day. He showed me exactly what he was doing, told me how much it would cost and did the work quickly and courteously. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He even said my igniter might last another heating season, but I chose to replace it for peace of mind. I had previously been told my furnace would need to be replaced soon, but Rich said it was fine, I just might have to replace parts more often because it's not the highest quality.

Rich of Jand B checked our 15 yr. old Bryant furnace and determined it needed a new heat exchanger. Cost-wise for repair was not practical for us. I did research on furnaces and it was between Rheem and Trane for reliability. Trane won out as it is less high-tech operational wise and easier to repair when that time comes. Was told the Trane should last longer than the Bryant (again, it was one of the first high-efficiency off the line 15 years ago;disappointed it didn't last longer.) We were very satisfied with information from Rich and the workmanship of the installation/take away.

I WAS AT WORK WHEN THE FURNACE WAS BEING INSTALLED AND I HAD MY FRIEND STAY IN MY HOUSE DURING THAT TIME. HE SAID THE INSTALLERS SEEMED NOT TO APPRECIATE PUTTING THE FURNACE IN SUCH A SMALL AREA, BUT THEY GOT THE JOB DONE AND I THOUGHT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. TED, THE TECHNICIAN WHO PUT IN THE NEW MOTOR WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE.

TERRIBLE COMPANY, IT TOOKTHEM WEEKS TO GET HERE, THEY CAME and TOOK UNIT APART and LEFT , THEY DIDNT COME BACK FOR WEEKS, THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
