The actual installation of the water heater went very well. Lee and his brother showed up and installed an Eternal water heater in just a few hours. The trouble came months later when I got a recall notice from the Eternal company stating that my contractor should be contacting me to replace a faulty part. When I did not hear from Vanrite for several weeks, I emailed them twice and called the office once to try to request an appointment. They never contacted me back to schedule an appointment. I finally had to threaten to write Grand Hall Inc (the makers of the Eternal water heater) before Lee sent out a technician to fix the affected part. The kicker was that the warranty work took only 15 minutes! All the headaches over 15 minutes of labor!

I was happy on the whole and charged me about $80 to install it.  He also looked into the bathroom vanity sink for the slow disposal, which he mentioned was due to the way it was built.  They charge by an hour and he likes to talk.  I then realized I was charged when he was talking.  The other thing was that when he was talking he stopped working, so if I call him again in the future, I will ensure not to talk until he finishes his work.  I called him once and talked to his wife, but he didn’t return my call and when I called him the next day, he said he would be here by noon and when I called him at 1 pm, he said he was on his way.  I felt I didn’t have to call him 3 times in a day for a job.  He was neat, polite and knowledgeable.  He did a good job and cleaned up after himself.  I will use him again in the future.

My experience was very good.   He was able to fit me in quickly.  He came a few days later after requesting the work.  He was friendly and reasonably priced.

The water heater was a 40 Gallon that was side venting and the motor on top, which made this item a specialty water heater. He installed it and hauled the old one away. Lee has a very quick response time to your inquiries. I have always been called back within 24 hours. Lee is polite and does good work.
