Mr. Appliance of Green Bay

Spent about ten minutes looking at it, charged $8 for 2 screws that were missing and wanted to replace the icemaker and charge another $300. Billed $90 for the service call. Bought a new one for $130 and replaced it myself. Service guy wasn't overly friendly.

Went well and would use their service again in the future.  I was glad not to have to purchase a new appliance or spend much time monkeying around with it.

There is one service technician, Chris Boremann, who is exceptional.  He does all of my repairs.  He works on appliances in my apartment buildings as well as in my home.  He is the only repair person I have ever had over the years who goes above and beyond in every respect.  He is courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, professional and he even makes things easier for me as an apartment manager.  He picks up keys for me and returns them so I don't have to go on site to meet him when I am unable.  He explains every aspect of the job he's doing so that I can understand what's wrong and needs to be repaired.  In the 20 years I've been managing apartments, he is the absolute best repairman I have ever dealt with, hands down.  If you need an appliance repaired and want to make sure it's done right, Chris Boremann is your repair man.  He also tries to keep the cost down whenever possible!  A win win situation!!

Kevin was the person who came to our house.  He was a nice enough guy.  I have nothing against him but I will never use this company again.  Unfortunately there is some price gouging going on in this business.  I picked this company because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List but unfortunately I did not have one of those positive experiences.  Kevin cleaned out the boot in my washer which wasn't very dirty.  He quickly determined that we needed a new rubber boot and claimed that ours probably wore around the seal causing it to leak.  I did my research on the internet and knew this was a common problem.  He quoted me a price of $360 claiming that the part was $200 and it was labor intensive.  I told him that I probably would just buy a new washing machine for this price.  He quickly said it would be $94.90 for the service call.  After he left, I called Howie Voight and they told me they could get the part shipped to me by Monday for $83.  I looked on Sears' website and could get the part for $67.  I bought it off Amazon for $55.  Regardless I don't know why they need to have over 100% markup on their parts.  What a profit margin!  I watched a youtube video that was 7 minutes long on how to fix this part.  I took apart my machine in roughly 30 minutes.  It took me a long time to get it back together because I did not have a spring expansion tool which you need to put the spring loaded ring back around the boot.  If I had this tool, this project would have cost me $55 and taken about an hour.  So his statement that the part was $200 and it was labor intensive was completely inaccurate.  So I paid them $94.90 for 30 minutes in which he cleaned out my boot and looked under my machine.  He was there for less than 30 minutes and his diagnosis was not completely accurate as I found two small holes in the boot by the drain where it was leaking so it actually wasn't worn around the seal.

We were not able to get immediate service, so we did not have a refrigerator in our kitchen for about 4 1/2 days. It went out on Thursday about noon. The following day was Good Friday and we couldn't get anyone there that day, or over the weekend. Fortunately, we had another frige in the basement, so the contents were not a total loss. My husband took off on Monday so that we could get Mr. Appliance there to fix it.
The technician came within the window of time stated which was a two hour window (but it was at the tail end). He took a look at it and found the defective panel. He did have to leave to get the needed part. He return with a "generic" panel and not a GE panel because they did not have one stock. That was OK because the cost was lower as well! Got it running. Cleaned up everything nicely. No mess left behind. I really appreciated that. Have not had another problem with it since that time and it has been about a month.
We did not get a copy of the bill on the day of service. I called and requested one and something was emailed to me but it was not really a bill of sale. I called back a second time and Amber promptly sent me what I had originally requested.
They were easy to contact and got us an appointment much more quickly than GE could offer. I thought the price was fair considering a new refrigerator like ours would be about $2, 200.00. We would use them again for sure.

I can't say enough good things about Mr Appliance, especially their service
technician, Chris. Over the years, Chris has worked on a number of appliances
in our home, most recently a large commercial beverage cooler in our basement.
The compressor on the unit was made in Germany, and I think most other people
would have given up, told us it was a bad compressor. But Chris went the extra
mile, ran some tests and realized it was not a bad compressor, but instead, the part
that starts the compressor. He couldve taken us to the cleaners on that fridge, but
he didnt. I think honesty is the most important trait in this line of work, and Chris
and Mr Appliance get an A+ from us!

I like him a lot. He actually came back on a Friday night when he had to go pick-up his son from daycare to help put a circuit board on my refrigerator, so I had a refrigerator on the weekend. That was over and above the call of duty. I thought he was exceptional. He was a gem. He was a wonderful guy. It's hard to find people like that. The price wasn't out of reach. He did make an effort to come back and do it. He charged me only once.

Chris Borgmann was my knight in shining armour. First I was referred to a Roy through Classic Maytag because he works on GE appliances. Roy came to the house and took the back panel off and informed me that my relay switch failed and therefore burned out my compressor - job cost to repair $800. I paid him $67.00 for his diagnostics and told him I would have to think about if it would be feasible to repair or better to replace. Later I decided to contact Sears where I bought the refrigerator and they sent out their tech 2 days later from my call. He took the back panel off and had a computer diagnostic done and told me that it wasnt my relay switch or compressor but my circuit board and that it would take another 3-5 days to deliver a replacement. And for that service I ended up paying $294 for a 1 yr contract thinking it would be cheaper than paying separately for a compressor that costs $431 and labor of $75 plus. Since I was not happy with the delivery schedule that Sears gave me, I ended up calling GE directly and they overnighted to me a circuit board that costs $256, only later to find out it was the wrong circuit board. But lo and behold another circuit board ordered by Sears ended up on my door step right after Chris installed the wrong GE circuit board for approx $95. I called Chris and informed him of the 2nd circuit board received and he ended up coming back and installing the correct board without further charge--all on Friday the 13th! Yeh I finally had a refrigerator working after 1 week without one. I would definitely use this service again and also would not hesitate to recommend their services to my friends.

Discussed the repair and cost with me. Then assisted me with a decision to have him order parts and repair or attempt it on my own. The part was available online for 1/2 the provider cost. I attempted the repair myself and was successful.
I forget his name, but the tech was extremely terrific!

When I called Mr. Appliance I talked to a very polite and helpful young (?) lady. Chris was able to come by within a few days of calling Mr. Appliance and was able to call me just before he showed up. After describing the problem he knew pretty much right away what the problem was and was able to fix within 15 minutes. He was very familiar with my brand of refrigerator and explained that this particular brand often had a tube that freezes up in the change of humidity. He showed me how I could, in the future, defrost this portion of the refrigerator on my own and explained when it would require a service call. Very professional and curtious.

It was a great experience for us. I felt the price was fair the the service was excellent!

Overall everything went well. Did not claim that we needed repair work done. Felt he was very honest.

Chris was awesome. I would definitely recommend him to anybody.

Christopher B. arrived on time and rebuilt our Dish washer, repaired our washer and dryer, Christopher B. is without a doubt the best Appliance technician I have ever seen, and believe me I have seen plenty over the years servicing our appliances. He was very professional and thorough, after watching him do the repairs our appliance will last a long time, unlike the other appliance repair company we had previously, that would just slap a band-aid on the problem, and shortly break down again. If you want your appliances repaired properly call Mr Appliance and ask for Chris :)
