Initially, Dean, the owner of the company, came to my home and we discussed what I wanted (plants for privacy). He took pictures and measurements and said he would get back to me in a week with his design and estimate. He said it would take him about a week since it was a busy time of year. This was in mid May. After 3 weeks I had not heard back so I contacted him again and he said it would be another week. I was considering hiring another company to do the work but I heard good things about GBN so I decided to wait until I got his design and estimate.
He came back to my home and showed the design and we discussed some changes (using some different plants). He even provided me with a few options that would fit within my budget. I was very pleased with his flexibility and the fact that he really listened to what I wanted.
He got the job and gave me an installation date in early August. The installation day came and went... nobody showed up at the house. After another phone call or two I got an apology and a firm installation date, which was a week later. At this point I had some buyer's remorse and regretted my decision but I also just wanted this project to get finished.
When the crew showed up to do the work, they were very polite, professional, and they did an excellent job. So I'm very happy so far with the final result.
Overall it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a great one either. The communication was poor. However, some of GBN's competitors didn't even respond to my request for an estimate or didn't bother to show up. This still confuses me why some companies can stay in business with such poor customer service. I guess if they are able to work with customers looking to spend more money then they aren't interested in quoting a $2500 job.
Next year I'm planning to have additional work performed (hardscaping) but I honestly don't know who I'm going to turn to for this.

The work began within a week or so and the results are excellent. Our yard has never looked better. The workers were courteous and they cleaned up at the end of each day.

They did a great job making sure that the depth would be good so the plowing would not damage or cause sinking.I had an estimate done in June and had the installation done in Sept. The communication on the installation date was poor but the work was done as originally discussed. I will definitely use them again.

I don't remember their price but it was reasonable.

They are awesome and I would highly recommend them. They are a nursery but I hired them as a landscape architect. They are honest, reliable and very professional. They do the job right the first time. Their prices are average.

They were prompt, professional, and courteous. The work took two men the entire day. Most of the old shrubbery had to be pulled out with a truck and large chain. They were extremely careful not to damage the existing lawn as they did this. We were impressed with the work, the results, and they cleaned everything up after. It looks great.

They were punctual, professional and responsive. They were very flexible, patient and listened to my ideas. I was satisfied with their service.
